So you know how Speaker told us to watch www.evilpuppetmasters.com? Well, he finally posted on there!!
http://www.evilpuppetmasters.com/archives/301#more-301

I didn't get a chance to watch the video again, but observations on my first watch are pretty much: "wtf is that purple thing in the sky... is that just the sun...?"

I'll go watch it again now.

I think the purple thing in the sky is just the sun.
It was interesting that he said "don't forget to bring the camera with you and keep making screen shots", hopefully something will happen soon. Very Happy

Yeah, after watching it a few more times I'm thinking it's just the sun too... haha. Do you think he purposely edited it to be dark and purple? If so, why? I'm thinking if he did it was probably just to add to the creepiness.

Yeah, the screenshot thing is very interesting. I'm pretty excited now, I'm not gonna lie. Very Happy

Also, at the bottom of his post, in big bold letters (Edit: Well, they were big and bold... he must have changed them) he asks if anyone lives in the cities mentioned in the press release. Do you think we're gonna have to go to them?

that purple sun looks creepy. i wonder how the heck he did it and what its supposed to mean. is he trying to send us a secret message? But having Speaker message us again is a great sign. it means that a new ARG is a strong possiblity, and it may begin in the next few hours.

Well, didn't the sky turn purple? So the purple sun is a pretty direct ref to that time.

Nicely done.

The places that Oceanic now flies to correspond to the hometowns of the major characters. Has anyone tried to access the voicemail boxes available from the recording. Press # after being told to leave a message and you'll be prompted to enter a mailbox number, after which you'll be prompted for a password. I haven't figured out any passwords, though.

DocArzt (www.docarzt.com) has said that he talked to Speaker and he said that the purple sun was only a camera fluke.

TUSTIN, California?
Easy enough to find, via Googling, but it's hardly the size of any of the other cities.

I used to live near Tustin and a friend just reminded me that, as far as either of us know, the only thing resembling an airport in Tustin is the old military base with its blimp-sized hangars that sometimes get used for film shoots. (I believe the latter years of the X-Files were at least partially filmed there.) But yeah.... TUSTIN?!

I'd take a deep breath and calm down just a bit before getting too excited about hacking the voicemail. Just because you CAN hack it, doesn't mean that you SHOULD hack it. There is no indication that hacking the voicemail is encouraged as part of the game, and with most (all?) voicemail services, there is no way to shut off that particular prompt or you can be certain that they would have already done so. What would hacking the password get you? You'd be able to listen to the hundreds of messages people have already left (if you really felt like sifting through that many messages) and you'd be able to change the outgoing message, ruining it for future callers until the problem was resolved.

I agree. Right now I don't think there is any indication that we should be trying to get into their voicemail. It seems like what we are doing right now is playing a waiting game, either for the site to go live or for another clue. I don't think we currently have the info for the next step, whatever it may be.

Neutral who said anything about hacking? okay, so my excitement may be a bit premature, but nobody said anything about hacking.

I want to play

I'll be following this as much as possible. I was too late to get in on the last one. I'll do my best to get up to par by reading the archive.

However, a brief overview would be greatly appreciated. And, are there any other places (links) one should read other than the lostpedia.

I've been looking at this; missing pieces. Is that wise or is it not related to this.

Thanks in advance.

edit: forgot to ask, but who is Speaker and how is he related?

We're not sure as of yet if this is going to be a direct sequel to TLE, so I'm not sure how much reading up on the original you'll have to do, but here is a fairly good, fairly short summary of TLE, just in case.

http://www.lostblog.net/lost/tv/show/the-lost-experience-the-relatively-short-summary-for-nonplayers

The Missing Pieces are unrelated. They are just short, extra clips ABC is putting out to keep Lost fans satisfied.

Speaking of Lost, do you watch the show? If you don't there is some basic info you might miss out on in this 'ARG', if that is what this is (ie: the numbers, flight 815, the island, etc.), but if you don't watch, I'm sure people here would help you out with that info.

Speaker was involved in the original Lost ARG. He was obviously involved somehow behind the scenes, though he pretended not to be. He helped, through his blog (www.insidetheexperience.com), giving clues, hints, and witty commentary. The Lost Ninja (http://au.blogs.yahoo.com/lost-ninja/) is Speaker's Aussie counterpart, and he is also posting again. There also was The Other Girl, who was the counterpart in the UK, but I'll just say she wasn't quite as popular...

Hope this helps at least a little. If you have any other questions, I'll be around! Very Happy
