That 'fireball' is obviously just a missile or RPG.
You can see the fire coming out the back of the object before it impacts the building.

Hopefully someone can put up a high def grab of the monster passing between the buildings. Looks like a fraction or so of a second more is available. If we could get a good .gif up we could get a good glance at the feet of MGP and maybe even make out a tail.

Ugh...the broadcast isn't even in full hi-def...just that half-assed square screen with the bars on the side.

I agree about the missile it has a "monster" like sound effect but that same SFX is use din other parts of the clip. More dramatic effect than "reality".

Not a lot new here IMO but still AWESOME.

One thing that struck me with the extended couple frames of the scene behind the screen is it reminds me of a trilobite coming out of a human.

They're either F-15's or F-18's. They're for sure not some kind of monsters.

And the thing hitting the building is obviously some errant ordinance. People are starting to see things.

They also cut out the image of the SoL's head being ripped off and thrown down the street, which is in every other single commercial and trailer. But they did show the decapitated statue. I think the violent tossing of the head would've been a little too much on a show that is predominantly viewed by New Yorkers, because of 9/11 and all, so props to Bad Robot and Paramount for being classy with it.
