Running away, and the missile missed.

Nice capture Headman

While I agree that the trailers and such can provide clues about the film, none of them are set in stone. For instance, a bite doesn't confirm an infectious agent, it just confirms that someone was bitten and it was a serious injury. (If someone was bitten by a dinosaur (whether it was infectious or not) people would be prone to react. Just a thought, some of the trailer may not even be in the final cut of the movie.

I gotta be honest... that's just dumb. "we have a bite" means that she was not the only one and there is some sort of emphasis on 'the bite.' They haven't used that line in any other commercial or in any other part of the movie, except for the part RIGHT BEFORE they show the expanding woman scene. These commercials have emphasis to them, so obvious that I could easily assume that they want us to pick up on these things.

Jerk. You're dumb. What does this prove? Nothing, we are still just speculating, that's my point.

Personally I think it's reasonable to assume the bite leads to the swelling, but there's nothing to point to an infectious agent at this point, could be eggs or anything.
Edit: actually eggs could count as pathogens, I didn't realise how wide the definition was.

I do remember that... I'm still trying to figure out what happened that made that HUGE explosion...

Look, my thought is this... Godzilla inspired this movie a bit. They want to make a monster that rivals Godzilla. Godzilla breathes fire, honestly in a match with the big O.G., our Big Bad would have to have something in return.

Doing the same thing as Godzilla, though, would be unoriginal and stupid.

There is nothing in the trailers to suggest that the monster breathes fire or shoots fireballs. That would be wayyyyyy too corny. They are probably taking cover because this monster apparently likes throwing large objects at people.

lol, I gotta be honest- I've never been called a jerk before. People don't use that word enough. Yes, we are speculating- but by stating that 'maybe they just wanted to state "We have a bite" just because,' then you're simply ignoring what information we've been given.

I'm sorry, you're pretending to be a fictional character, I don't think you get to decide 'what's stupid.'

but I'll say it anyways; This is a movie about a giant monster rampaging through a city- name how many other movies are like that.

This is a movie given to us in a P.O.V. perspective- name how many other movies are like that.

This movie is built differently by adding the two together, but it still consists of things that have been done before. Nothing's too original.

If it did shoot fire, maybe that would explain the explosion before they enter the subway, i dont know if it was a shot from the millitary or not...and it would explain the army taking cover unless there was debris falling over them

I honestly dont think it shoots fire or anything. It could very easily just throw something explosive like a car.

Also, to compete with O.G... Does infecting/mutating/making people explode count?

There MUST be a reason for the Biohazzard suits, and Marlena definitely isnt just taking her coat off or going towards the light. This creature definitely does something OTHER then smash things.

Who or what I am does not stop me from expressing my opinion, flaming boy. If the monster breathes fire, it will be unoriginal and stupid.
