I don't get it. Didn't JJ say that htis mosnter had no backstory and that it was just a monster. THen why would they just say that it is aspace alien monster. Maybe alien meaning mystreious and unkown. I have a russian friend i will send the picture to her and she will translate it. I perosanlly think this is a godzilla like monster from EARTH and just a MONSTEr and it has no backstory.

I just got an idea on what that could mean.

If translated one way, it could mean Alien or something of that sort... what if it just means the creature is like nothing else on earth? This doesnt mean its from space, just that its an "Alien" to our planet because its the only thing of its kind.

If the creature is from outer space...how would the whole Tagruato ARG fit in?
The only thing I can come up with is that perhaps it arrived on Earth long ago...and has been in hibernation at the bottom of the ocean ever since...
...until awakened by Tag.

That seems a bit too Megatron for me though.

if it was an alien creature, then what does the american movie poster mean now? it clearly shows tracks going into the city from the water. i'm pretty sure someone said that it could of crash-landed in the water and made it's way to the city.

I myself dont believe its an alien. I just think they use the term Alien because its better to understand i dont know if that made sense or not lol

Maybe it's just misinterpretation by those peoples.

Either that, or it is 'alien' in the context of Mexican immigrant 'alien'.

Or, maybe it is an outer space alien who's been dormant in the sea.

It's bound to be one of those theories. Pity it's not that marvelous extremophile one.
