Re: bees

I'm new at this, so feel free to disregard, but perhaps bees is an acronym, B.E.E.S. or B.E.E.'s... biological extraterrestrial entity for example?

H'm, reminds me of an acronym from DOCTOR WHO: DRAGONFIRE:

A.N.T. - which stands for Aggressive Non-Terrestrial.

Digdug, you may be on to something here!

The only parallel that I can find is that of insects in general: http://bees.netninja.com/wiki/index.php?title=Commentary

Note all the references to spiders and such. Any ideas? My guess (and its only a guess) is that we're talking about a new entity in Halo 2. Some kind of insectoid.

This is far too clearly obvious. In a game about fine subtleties and hidden messages, writing the word 'spider' enough times just to mean 'you'll be fighting spiders in a game' makes no sense.

Anyhow, it has been (mostly) confirmed that the 'Spider' the The Operator talks of is the SPDR repair routine that is trying to revive and repair it, and that it is the same as The Widow as mentioned in 'The Widows Journey' fable hidden throughut the corrupted images.
