"Expect No Answers From Cloverfield" (cinemablend.com)
What do you think 'bout the answers?

Even read at Cinemablend the assumption, the movie won't give us any answer to our questions, because of... well, because it's JJ Abrams.
http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Rant-Expect-No-Answers-From-Cloverfield-7341.html

What do you think?

P.S. Imho, the movie won't really deliver any answers, and JJ Abrams knows it. So I have a silly thought, the 11-dollar-guy is an allegory of us, the movie fans, because we give as an attachment to our theories always "just my 2 cent" or so. So our whole capital turned 11 dollars, and is fully useless. So JJ Abrams owe us 11 bucks Smile

P.P.S. Dear Admins, do you can add the "Some questions will be answered" option, please?

I read this article earlier and believe that a lot of questions wont be answered like where the monster came from etc.

Yeah, I think a "some" answer would be more fitting. I mean, I'm sure LOST is a good example of how good JJ is at not answering everything. I'm sure he could answer everything if he wanted to, but I think he'll give us just enough to make us saticfied...OR, it can be like LOST season 1 where we have more questions at the end than we did throughout this entire campaign. Who knows? Dunno

The jackass who wrote that article obviously hasn't read the interviews where it was explicitly stated that we will see the monster.

In addition...a lot of the stuff that he says we shouldn't expect should be prefaced by the word 'DUH!'.
I mean, no shit we're not going to get establishing shots or large set pieces. WTF?

Oh, it's reasonable... Dear Admins, do you can add the "Some questions will be answered" option, please?

I don't know about the article, it's just that guys opinion. However, I'm certain that if this ends up too much like Lost then Jabrahms will have done himself some real bad damage reputation-wise.

Sure it'll be a surefire winner at the box office, but it might very well be his last one if fans associate JJ with crap.

If he's looking for a series of films here he'd best get this one right enough for people to want to see the second one.

Sure it was the Transformers audience that got to see the trailer first, but that trailer was the only good thing about Transformers (that and Optimus' voice).

I'm not going to see Transformers 2 or Spider-man 4 - and I'm not alone.

If JJ craps out on this, others will take what was good about it and do it better and JJ will be tossed aside.

So I expect some answers too.

Firstly it had the Peggster in it so not likely, and secondly even though it was a flop (critically, but hee-haw to do with Simon Pegg there, he kept it afloat), it wasn't based on all this hocus pocus smoke and mirrors malarkey that he's now famous for.

And I think it's the hocus pocus element that's being drawn out here.

He still has to do Star Trek, if he flops with CF, I can see him dropped by Paramount for ST.

Perhaps the Movie will answer to questions, we never asked.
And when the light turns on, we are "enlightened", too. Wink
I think the "Liberty Enlightening the World" is a clue for amazing Stuff, Abrams is hiding.
This is more than a movie... this is an all-embracing experience.

.... ok, if it is only a dumb Movie, we all had fun long time before. It is ok to pay for the ticket, anyway.

Either way, this will be entertaining. If it is pointing out flaws and reminiscing on past clues, or enjoying long awaited answers to questions we've sought so dearly.

And it's rather pitiful that a self-proclaimed movie site has stated they think we will not see the monster, when Matt reeves himself stated we'll get some insane shots of it.
