Frankly, the leaderboard numbers are not so enormously high that any single person would've had much trouble skewing them, so long as they had a lot of patience and tons of time.

If you think about the number of times you could create Facebook accounts, grab and regrab, throughout a 24 hour period, and then multiply that by the number of days the contest was live...well, it seems like a distinct possibility that one of more of the winners could have gotten there by less-than-honest means.

The problem is that Cloverfield's peeps do not own the sites where the widgets are placed, and aren't at liberty to perform thorough IP address checks. (Meaning they can't tell in any CERTAIN way that a particular person was simply creating puppet account after puppet account, even if it seems clear that they did.)

I don't know anyone on the leaderboard personally, of course, but I hope Dennis walks out of this with a little more than a free hat and poster. His site has kept me entertained and Cloverfied for a while, and actually was my introduction to UF.

I received an email today stating that I had won a Cloverfield Prize Pack! WooHoo!!!

I actually called and talked to Paramount, and they said they didn't know what was going to be in the prize package yet, but probably t-shirt, hat, etc. They said they were trying to get more stuff to put in.

Also, the affidavits/release forms weren't ready yet, but she would send them out ASAP.
