[SPEC] Dates

I don't think this has been said, but i couldn't work out why the Widows Story contained the Manticore. Then i realised what a manticore is - Lions body, scorpions sting. Or Leo's body and Scorpio's tail. Both Leo and scorpio are the starsigns for July 27 and November 9th, two of the days involved.

I also looked more into the Ruby and Sapphire, thinking they may represent birthstones. Though ruby is the birthstone for July, Sapphire is only Septembers, so i think i may be looking at this wrong.

Again though, clues to dates are coincidentally hidden in the website, though it could be conincidental

EDIT: Topic guidelines. --AnthraX101

Ruby and Sapphire

What colors are those stones?

www.redvsblue.com

Microsoft distributed some of the RvB Machinima on Halo2 demo disks, or so I heard.

I bet the PMs expect/expected the RvB fanbase to get involved in this ARG as well.

Red vs Blue is a sit-com set in the Halo universe...

How on earth would they be tied into something THIS serious? I have a hunch people are grasping at straws. A lot of things are red and blue - including my countrys flag.

Is ilovebees.com being invaded by the British? Razz

I'm a fan of RvB, I am well versed in the episodes. As of right now, there is nothing in this game that has any connection with just about anything in the second season. Well, ok, there is a little bit of something about an evil AI taking stuff over. However, honestly, that's not a connection so much as a requirement for Halo/Marathon based games/stories/movies.

The Card from the Bungie forums has some interesting things to say about the dates.

"I only have something for part of the countdown. the first part.
In 2 days, network throttling will erode.

network throttling is something that slows your network transmission speed. if something erodes then it will eventually cease to be there at all. after these two days are up meltdown, (a yearly microsoft gaming meeting) will happen. right now there are only small amounts of data being released by bungie. if you can call this grip on the data about halo 2 network throttling then once it "erodes" there should be a nice big stream of halo 2 data coming, rather than just little bits at a time."

Interesting stuff.[/url]

Location: Far Far Away. Nowhere Near You. Really.

Could also just be an "in" joke. And a red herring. I gather Bungie can be like that.
