This can only help Cloverfield...as any publicity is good publicity.
Aside from the fact that whenever someone tells you not to do something, you want to do it even more.
Stupid hag...

Is she basing her opinion on the trailers and tv spots or has this very lucky woman actually see the full movie?
Or maybe she saw it in her mind, and then assumed that was correct and so gave her cause for her protest.

It's just another case of "too soon ", except that 7 years is usually considered enough time to be over pretty much anything. It's enough for governments to traditionally overlook things, even creditors. I guess it's not enough for old people looking for attention before they die by trying to incite controversy over vague similarities.
Has any move NOT had some form of 'don't see it' protest, ever?

I'm more disappointed in the Today show...are they that hard up for a story? The crazies always come out before any type of hyped-up movie and love to scream boycott, etc.
Ridiculous.

To my 'naive' European eyes she can only be 3 things:
Running for President
Part of the Viral Marketing
The Monster
[/sarcasm]
Edit: They don't teach how to count here in Cyprus ... in addition to reading maps

Hope many people like her wont ruin this movie. This is just a MONSTER movie with some references. Maybe she should reference her differences by finding Osama Bin Laden, and not bash the movie by saying dont see it because it relates to 9/11. I guess the monster is a walking plane.

Hey, well, all she is doing is promoting the movie further.
You know what they say: "There's no such thing as bad publicity."

Yea, she is right, what are they thinking?!
They should have him carefully maneuvar between all buildings and landmarks, only a worst, knocking a couple 3-story department stores down. And those should fall over sideways and land flat on their sides. No dust or anything. 'cause while the movie would then flop, at least it would be RESPECTFUL of um.. how buildings collapse.
