LOL.....With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
He pulls the spitting high tension wires down
Helpless people on a subway train
Scream bug-eyed as he looks in on them
He picks up a bus and he throws it back down
As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town
Oh no, they say hes got to go
Go go Grumpypants, yeah
Oh no, there goes NYC
Go go Grumpypants, yeah

yes, there will be SOME music. At the beginning. How? During the party. That'll be IT though. I can promise you this.

I checked billboard.com's listings for CD's coming out over the next few weeks, but they don't list a Cloverfield soundtrack anytime between now and the beginning of March.

As said before No Country For Old Men, didn't have any music in it. And it is one of the best films of the year.

the movie has been compared to blair witch, which had no soundtrack, so I'm going with no soundtrack on this one

No music. Says so in this article:

Quote:
The filmmakers coaxed Paramount into letting them use no-name actors who could improvise, low-key natural night light, herky-jerky HandyCams (as opposed to SteadiCams, which can be artificially jerked around later; "People would smell that in a second," says Reeves), and no musical score at all -- just source music and well-orchestrated ambient sound.

I've got an interesting idea...
As is the case with several fandoms, we could create our own soundtrack from what little music is heard in the trailers, ads, associated sites, and film itself. Right now we've got 3 songs from the teaser, a list from Rob's MySpace, a Slusho theme song (with effects unfortunately), and you could probably count some of the loops on the Slusho.jp site.
Anyone up for working out the total compilation?
First we'd need to work out a playlist.
Once we work out the playlist, an ISO could be created. Selling it should be out of the question for obvious copyright reasons.

I'd start with this thread.

I was actually thinking of another thread that has a lot to do with this idea:
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22792
This could be a rather large compilation if we put everything from your thread into it. I'm inclined to say the first disc worth at very least should be content gathered from official sources, and the songs suggested be in a second disc of related and 'tribute' music.

If it's a soundtrack for this "ARG experience", the MySpace songs could also be included. I know I'll always associate those songs with Cloverfield for the rest of my life.

I hope they release Rob's Party Mix as a tie-in CD, because MUCC is on there, and they kick alot of ass. \m/

Disc 1:
The Blood Arm - Do I Have Your Attention
Timbaland - The Way I Are
Wolfmother - Woman
The Black Keys - Girl Is On My Mind
Modest Mouse - Dashboard
Common - The People
Shop Boyz - Party Like A Rock Star
The White Stripes - Icky Thump
The Willowz - Jubilee
Muse - Knights of Cydonia
M. Ward - Chinese Translation
Forro in the Dark - Asa Branca White
Rodrigo & Gabriela - Tamacun
Kylie Minogue - Come Into My World
The Hives - Well All Right
Slusho - We're Happy Flavor
Should I put the roar in after the first 3 songs, or approximately every 6 minutes?
I'll edit in more tracks when I dig up those directly in any of the official content. I may also start a post for Disc 2 (or more), and yes - Rick Astley has to be on one of the discs.
