Luckily, I'm going to see it with mostly males...and females who hate chick flicks (Like me Laughing ).
I haven't even seen a commercial for it yet, or heard anything about it, so I doubt a lot of people will go to see it the weekend it opens.

Because they did such a good job destroying Cloverfield on Neil Cavuto's show, of course they're confident to kick it's arse with a formulaic chick flick starring - or more like torturing - the lovely Ms. Heigl.

I believe I've already established my deep, dark resentment of all types of girly chick-flicks.

Especially Titanic. I hated that movie so much, and behaved so reprehensibly during the movie (because I was mad that I was forced to sit through it) I actually ruined a friendship over it. She was so livid with me for 'MST3King' the whole film, she hasn't spoken to me since the night we walked out of the theatre. Oh well, I say. If she buys that recycled schlock, too bad.

My better half loves it that I chose to go see I am Legend over whatever cookie-cutter romantic claptrap was showing at the time.

ok, she wasn't really mentally stable to begin with...to get pissed at you over a movie is kinda off the wall.
Titanic was the worst. Geez did it annoy the shit out of me...
I watched it when it came to video and fell asleep.
Honestly, how could they take such a tragic event and shit on it with romance?
-_-

OMG that's exactly what I said. Capitalizing on one of history's biggest tragedies; only to do so using the oldest , most recycled love story known to man.

God that pissed me off. You're right about unstable.. but those are the sort of friends people-haters like me attract.

Yeah, that's how most women are. That's why I can't stand them.

haha, don't worry I know a lot of girls who'd rather watch that than a good horror flick...and I'm always stunned in amazement.
haha, and I'm the weird one?

Sorry to interject myself into a conversation, but I felt that the Titanic was an excellent film. Im always love a film in which one of two things happens. 1. the main character(s) die or 2. the main characters(s) lose. Examples: Children of men
Fight club (the credit card buildings blow)
Titanic
(almost)Mr. Brooks(take out the last 15 seconds literally)
Sev7n
Thr3e
No movies ever have the balls to do this
Any others im missing

Now, see, I didn't think Titanic was a bad movie. Sure, it could've been craploads better, and sure, the story was a little weak, but it had Kate Winslet. And it had some truly powerful moments, like the string quartet that kept playing as the ship went down, because it was their job. (I also liked The Notebook a lot - I'll occasionally be a sucker for that kind of film.)

And I didn't think Legally Blonde was that bad. It was funny in parts. And Reese Witherspoon is bloody attractive.

That said, I do generally hate those kinds of movies, and 27 Dresses looks to be absolutely gut-wrenchingly dismal.
