Seems like this is a complilation from Rob himself, since two of the songs played during the trailer aren't mentioned at all in this list. And it would be a rather boring, short party if these songs were played. Don't get me wrong, some are good song...but they aren't "party" songs.

The official Cloverfield page on Facebook has posted a playlist it's calling Rob's Party Mix. Here's the list:
I'm not too familiar with how facebook works.... I see the list of songs on facebook, but where do you see that it is called "Rob's Party Mix"?
Can you attach a screenshot maybe?

I saw Architecture in Helsinki live 2 weeks ago.
I did the Whirlwind. It was the best thing ever.

I reckon this will be the 'songs inspired by' album or something.

If you're a "fan" of Cloverfield on Facebook, you got a message last night saying Rob's party mix was uploaded to the Cloverfield Facebook page. Here's a screen capture:

OK, that explains it. Thanks!
I wasn't a fan until after that was already up. I wonder why it doesn't say that anywhere on the page itself? facebook is weird....

Did they play "It's 5!"? cause it doesn't get better than that!

I don't listen to any of these bands.
And what about wolfmother, it was clearly being played in the trailer (or at least a remix of it)?

They missed out on an opportunity here, they should have The Call Of Ktulu by Metallica on it, heheh.

For all of you wondering why the music in the teaser isn't in Rob's Party Mix...
It's a surprise party for Rob.
How would he know to make a playlist for the party if it's a surprise party?
This brings me to another thought:
So, if this movie gets a 'soundtrack', it's gonna be a short one.

There could be a soundtrack. One of those "Music from and INSPIRED by the movie "Cloverfield". We could only hear two or three clips of songs in the movie, and they fill up a CD with those and similar songs.

Indeed! Maybe a couple of songs from the party, and a compilation of the monster's best roars.

Re: [INFO]Rob's Party Mix from official cloverfield facebook page I just snagged a Black Keys album. Rubber Factory.
I listen to mostly Classic Rock and Blues. This band kicks ass.
I've seen Spoon live and I like Kings of Leon.
