 		reagan: my hope is (if we win) that they would put them on the DVD (maybe if they explain the hype/ARG in the special features)..

..also a new laptop would be nice Laughing

could not agree more. I think that they will be in the special features on the dvd. which would be awesome. one thing that i have found out through this process is that i came in wanting to win, (still do obviously) but now at the same time it is like i want to win but if i dont it isn't that terrible cause i am proud of my vid.(especially for a first ever vid i think that it is pretty good) anyone else feel that way?

p.s. also incredibly excited, and waiting the "up to 2 weeks" for them to announce the winners will make the 2 weeks til cloverfield seem all that much longer.

p.p.s. reagen you might be "the kind of guy who never wins anything" but i am thinking your chances are pretty good. you probably spent more time making your slusho cart than i spent making the entire video Laughing

 		Well, I've seen a few of the other submitted commercials, some better than others (I'm looking at you, Reagan, hehe *kudos*) but I've had my nose buried in finishing my own commercial. I figured I'd do an animation.

The waiting up to two weeks is going to be torture...I agree.

I also agree that the journey has been (and continues to be) a prize in and of itself. Really. We made some great vids! But the process involved, no matter how much time we did or did not spend, was a blast. An absolute joy.

It has also been personally gratifying for me to see what you guys were able to do. Y'all know that I am a teacher and nothing makes me happier than to see a student really lock onto a project and dive into it with voracity. I personally obsess on projects and can focus on nothing else. Artistic temperament, you know? Anyway...the way you guys attacked this project and produced some really outstanding commercials has been fun for me to watch. I am proud of the work we ALL did!

Yes, I do want to win! No doubt. But there are five spots. That makes it better, you know. Whoever wins one of those five spots, and again...I am hoping I am one of those lucky few...they will all be able to say "you know, I worked hard and got recognized for it." It's just cool to think about.

So GOOD LUCK to all of us! Let's hope we are amongst the five!

so i was just wondering with your ad, is the squid pooping or giving birth to the slushos? either way i dont think that i would drink one. but then again i am not animated eiter Laughing hehe good job.

rofl -pooping? Is it pooping?? Very Happy Hehehe. That's a funny thought that didn't directly occur to me... (working on a whim) Think of it this way -you drink milk from a cow, ya? Why not Slusho! in pre-labeled cups from the underside of a jellyfish?

 		You guys all did a great job, and I am very glad there are five spots (but they should have had seven!). I think it would be AWESOME if they showed the winning Slusho! commercials during the previews before Cloverfield in the theatres! That would be GREATNESS!

I was thinking that same thing when i was talking to some buddies yesterday. because being that it is two weeks prior the movies release, i wonder if they haven't yet produced the films to be distributed. also i don't know how these things work but are the previews sent separately from the actual movie or not? i was thinking it would be cool (probably wayyyyy toooo cheesy though) if they hadn't yet produced the copies of the movies for the theaters, if they could go in really quick and add some of the commercials to be playing on the tv either during the newscast at the party or like on tvs in a shop window during the carnage or something of that sort. the other problem is that i bet they wont even have picked the 5 winners until at the earliest like middle of next week.

but oh well, good luck to all (especially me Laughing ) and heres to hoping that in the next couple of weeks we have 5 (or at least 3-4) regular posters on here posting that they won a laptop.

Shocked UH-OH!!! i just realized something. I submitted a commercial to slusho, which means that tagruato will get it which means that they might offer me a job, which means that i will have to move to japan, which means that my friends will throw a going away party for me, which means that some random chick that i dont recognize will say that i am awesome, which means that some random guy will say that i owe him money (something in the $10-$12 range), which means that wolfmother will play at the party, which means that a huge pissed off monster will rampage through my city, which means that a casual acquaintance will get bitten and explode, which means that I will end up under a bridge alone with some really hot chick who i have wanted for a long time but we have never both been single at the same time and we will realize that we love each other and we will do it just as we are going to die. hey maybe it isn't so bad after all.

Thanks alot! Smile That kinda makes my day. I had to cut some stuff and really press to make it as short as possible (which is why it ends so abruptly), but I'm satisfied overall with how it turned out.

I've not seen any other animations out there in this contest, so, I hope that helps mine stand out a little. (I'm an animation major -my semester ended on the 23rd last month, so I've been very absent on these boards since I started)
