Midnight... I think EST, I refreshed at around 12:02 and it was "1 day".

Is eastern time 5 hours behind GMT? Would it make the time here in the UK 12.07 PM

I think it's something that needs to be done by a PM at midnight in their time zone.

You added 5 minutes... Not 5 hours...

EST is GMT -5

Sorry when i was typing my post you must've posted several in between what i was refering too. My fault for not using a quote. I was actuallty adding 5 hours to Macavity's post. Sorry for all the confusion.

So GMT you reckon it would be around 5.00 am.

The PMs slipped up on this one. Let's see if they fix it in tonight's update.

Try this experiment: change your time zone without changing time or date. For instance, I'm in GMT -5. I changed my time zone to GMT +0, which changed my system time from 1605 to 2105. Reloading www.ilovebees.com showed that the timer had advanced five hours.

In other words, the countdown is set to the local time OF THE RECEIVER, not the local time of the PMs (or the Black Widow SPDR, for that matter). The countdown stops at 6:07 AM 24 August 2004 your local time, whatever that is. That means it stops at 6:07 AM London time, and at 6:07 AM San Francisco nine hours later, and 6:07 Berlin time an hour before, and so on.

This is probably not what the PMs had in mind, and I suspect it will be fixed if they are lurking around...

So what would the other 2 survivors be?

Straight from the Widow's Story:

Quote:
Other than the Widow, two alone had escaped destruction.

The Sleeping Princess lay in a chamber of the dungeon in a coffin of glass where the Widow could not hear her breathing. Meanwhile, the Pious Flea was so small that even the Widow, with her sharp eyes, could hardly see him, and when she looked his way, he hid.

The two survivors: The Sleeping Princess and The Pious Flea. The reason I think the Manticore isn't mentioned is because when the enchantment hit, he was so changed it destroyed what he originally was. Neither the Princess nor the Flea were changed. But I'm not sure if the Princess was already asleep before the enchantment hit or if it is a direct result of what hit the rest of the castle.

They didn't slip up.

In the story here, the countdown was originally written by Dana as a countdown to her trip to China. She's very much an amateur web-designer, so just did it the cheap n' easy way.

The SPDR process later hijacked the clock (See the final paragraph of The Widows Journey) to send out a warning, but it couldn't actually rewrite the clocks code - hence it's still called 'countdowntochina.js'.

It's perfect - that's what I love about this game. Every detail is meticulously planned out.
