[HUMOR] J.J. Abrams States Cloverfield Won't Release

Source: Ishi News, Tokyo, Japan

In a recent interview of J.J. Abrams published today in Rolling Stone Magazine, Abrams states that his newest project, Cloverfield, will not be released to theaters at all.

"Releasing the movie to theaters would be awful for the movie's build up," stated Abrams. "If we showed the movie to anyone, they would surely discover the secrets of the movie. It would be awful for the movie's hype."

When asked about the lack of income that would arise with not releasing the movie, Abrams stated that "a multi-million dollar loss is astronomically better than losing the viral marketing which is crucial for the movie's release."

It would not surprise me, if there is no Release for the Theatres.
Weird.
Is the Interview "real" existent?
Or is the Interview the "joke"?

It's a joke, but it makes an interesting point!

J. J. is going to drive, pesonally, to each movie theater and hand deliver the movie reel on opening day, just to ensure that there are no premature leaks.

I mean, the movie has his name all over it... he's gotta earn our respect and support somehow!
