Brilliant idea MikeyJ! We're looong overdue for some cleanup around the forums.

Especially with all the trolls lurking around and posting thread after thread after thread of useless mind numbing material. Screwy Enough to drive us all crazy.

Read me (or not, if you like surprises).

Best Idea Ever! . . . cause I have really become wary looking into some of the topics cause I feel the spoilers may be there already . . .

Yeah, I think it's a great idea. It may take an extra 9 seconds to et to the thread you want at first, but it will become much easier.

One thing to be cautious of though is Trouting threads in the non-spoiler section due to information in the spoiler section. Some boards I have been to manage the separation very well, others not so much. I'm sure you guys will do fine, you may just want to keep an eye on it.

I like the idea of reiging in the chaos that this subforum has been for a long while. I'd like to suggest a few modifications though:

First off, a different approach to the subforum groupings.
    * Background (The Interactive Viral Campaign) - for the items and information leading up to the movie
    * [SPOILER] Movie Discussions (We've seen it, now let's talk about it) - for what we see and read about the important details of the movie
    * Meta and Miscellany (Aren't we just nerds? This reminds me of that other story...) - for the [HUMOR] threads and [META] discussions, as well as the OT that creeps in
    * Archive (Ah, the memories of the wild days...) - for hopelessly cross-posted threads from the past that would otherwise be unclassifiable
    * Locked and Trout Threads (A pox on thee!) - for the old locked threads and repetitious trout threads we all despise, but for various reasons don't quite warrant sacrifice to the Holy Goddess Deletia

If the stickies can pretty much stay at this current level and live beside the subfora, I think that'd work to coordinate the whole. Some of the stickies might warrant moving to the subfora, like the Haiku competition to the Meta and Miscellany forum.[/list]

That is my favorite curse of all time BTW

I think splitting up the forums is a great idea and I agree that we need a [Meta]/[Humor]/[OT] sub-sub forum as well

I'm all for it too. There is another forum I post on - not at all related to cloverfield - and it uses subforms and it works like a dream.

Brilliant!

So what happened to the reorganization? With all these "spoilers" being posted, now is as good a time as any to get this going.

subforums

i am not posting anything, but I am coming back to unfiction a lot
to see what's new. It would be nice if anything older than three days
could be shoved up MGP's butt. If someone really wants to search
old comments they can go there to look at it.

If it's not new, I don't want it.

Is something still gonna happen with this, the number of new, trout topics has exploded as the movie gets more and more mainstream hype. We need the help methinks.

Don't hold your breath.
I've begun to think that allowing chaos is by design.
Besides that I don't think the current set of mods feel that there is enough time to do so or value in taking on such a task as sorting the massive amounts of threads they have here - at least as compared to the other subforums.

I would love the organization deal. I'm tired of "I think I found the monsters HEHEHEHE" I just want true game realated updates and one place to look at them. Would be great.

The only thing I want is a section just for me and anything I have to say... I like being egotistical from time to time.
