"Unique" means "one of a kind", "singular", "there ain't no other", and a whole bunch of other similar phrases. You Can Do The Math.

As far as not cloning the Captain, I've got a whole bunch of guesses but to know for certain you'd have to ask the authour, Eric Nylund. Or the Bungie Webmaster. Now there's an idea... Twisted Evil

Wasn't really sure where to put this...

On the ilovebees.com site under "The Hives" this is written...

Quote:
My bees are Russian-"Yugo" Carniolan bees which are disease resistant

I also did a Google search for Vacaville Beekeepers and found this link...

http://www.honeybeegenetics.com/stockbees.html

These are the ones who helped genetically create the Russian-"Yugo" Carniolan bees.

These bees are supposed to be resistant to the Varroa Mites. So how is it that Aunt M's bees are infected?

I had thought about that a lot yesterday. I didn't delve into it any further because I was tired, but now I'm glad someone brought that up.

Just because the bees are resistant, doesn't mean they're completely immune. Plus, it could be the honey that is being directly effected by the mites. Then again, I could be completely wrong, but I'll do some more research.

In response to the Varroa mites

Quote:
If a colony is found to be infested, all colonies at the site should be treated for mites with Apistan strips in the same manner. These strips contain the miticide fluvalinate and are not to be used during honey flow, or when there is surplus honey present in the colony that may be removed for human consumption at a later date.

Though the bees are unaffected the hives are , and have to be treated with chemicals, which can affect the honey, which im guessing is why she can't sell any more

Someone needs to ask Dana why her aunt cant sell the honey when the bees she keeps are resistant to the in mites she suggests is stopping her. This is wierd also because it was added after the page was created and is in inthe same font as when Dana asks for help. Could this be another plea for help?

Way to tie those thoughts together (the green text and the resistant bees). I just sent off an email asking about the bees, but I hadn't read this yet, so I didn't say anything about the green text. I'll post any respose I get in the interaction thread.

Retarded kid was registered in January of 01 and was archived the next month, like all sites. try it.

Yes it has, check out http://bees.netninja.com/wiki/index.php?title=Mayday_Text

Specifically, go down to the 'Brave new world' section for this exact text, as well as the literary references.

Exclamation

"91 remnants of the Castle's outer...." looks new: that's not in the Story as assembled on the wiki

http://bees.netninja.com/wiki/index.php?title=Story

Perhaps all images should be re-checked for additions to the Widow's Story.

Any posts on that should go to the thread in Puzzles.

EDIT: if "91" is removed, this is part of the Story...

"Long and long she walked until she came to the remnants of the castle's outer wall, but the wall was low and broken, and the Widow passed through like the bleak wind."

False alarm, sorry.

Ive looked over the posts and believe this is new. While on the The Hives page 4 lines appeared on the screen. I highlighted them and saw the words "120","yacht" and "crew". Cant seem to find it again. Anyone else seen this
