The Cloudmakers Yahoo group just sent a message annoucing this game(that's how I found it), but is there a way to have a central place to organize announced? Like the poster above said, this forum does seem to be the largest meeting place.
Yet another ancient CloudMaker checking in. As one of the people who answered the poll question "They will pry this group from my cold dead fingers" (or something like that), I got the announcement not only from cloudmakers-moderated, but also from a mass e-mail from jawbreak-owner. I didn't actually solve anything last time -- although I think I got a summary into the moderated group once! -- but I'm hoping to be a bit more helpful this time around.
(Not off to a good start, though: my only post so far has been to trout someone who didn't need trouting. BAAAAD BeeKeeper! )

Here too Yep, I'm an old Cloudmaker too, not the best with puzzles and stuff, but enjoyed the old Yahoo group.
Actually, I tried Metacortechs and got a bit bored with that one, since I joined late and couldn't make head nor tail of it; other ARGs seem to have been lacking, though I was hoping for one with the site to "The Ring", since that is a favorite of mine both in Japanese and English.
What I mostly admire in games of this type is the writing and creativity in slowly drawing back the storyline; something I endeavour to do in the tabletop RPGs I run from time to time...

Those Were the Days Sadly, my biggest contribution was probably all the filksongs I cranked out... "Martin and Diane" still makes me kinda wistful when I think about it. ;)
But more brains is good brains! Braaaaaaaaaaaaains!!!

I was a Cloudmaker too.....sort of. I wasn't very good at puzzles either, if by "not very good" I mean the only one I could ever solve by myself was the coronersweb.org (or Coroner Sweborg, that bastard) Chemistry puzzle. But, I followed with great interest. And, hey, I bring a lot of enthusiasm to the table! That counts for something.....right?

Guess its time to dive back in I too was a cloudmaker, and am really anxious to get back into a good game. The timing couldn't be better (just started a job where I work overnights and am allowed to cruise the web on downtimes...which have been frequent). Tomorrow looks like go time anyhow, I for one, am stoked.

Count me as a former cloudmaker too - I didn't do much but the occassional spec though. Got more involved later with Exocog and the like.

Useless, but still here. It warms the cockles of my little heart to see the rest of the old fogeys popping up. /me grins
I s'pose I was a cloudmaker; I was there from start to finish, trailer oddness to voting day. I was never that skilled at the puzzle part, though I figured out a few. Here's hoping this is at least on the scale of The Beast (and all signs point to green on that one), because besides Lockjaw, I haven't really gotten into another ARG like I did during that famous (or infamous, depending on how much time you lost from your life playing it) first one.

Describe yourself in 50 words or less: Um, well, i'm a former Cloudmaker (or maybe Cloudlurker? people in #ec scared me a little ) who grabbed hold of this community during Lockjaw and never let go. No matter how many times they sped up the ride.

Not that I was all that active with CM, but I did have fun. Thanks to Bmmblbe pointing me in the direction of this new game, I hope to have fun here too (though I am moving in with you when I lose my job over this obsession, bmm... )
