I read through all 27 pages of this thread, saw someone ask, but no responses.

Is this guy:

I sharpened his face just a hair

Anyone we "know" or is it just a random extra?

Thing is they made "a point" of showing his face.

The "Sucking down thing" has been scientifically disproven. It doesn't happen. Titanic was just a movie. Debris does indeed float, for a time. Air pockets inside the structure would cause it to pop back up to the surface and float away a bit before it sinks. That's what you see in the video.

I hate to be the stick in your spokes on this one, but i've been googling the hell out of it and I'm receiving differently on it being proven that it causes a vortex in its wake...

But either way... with the CGI being extremely poor, would they REALLY add that bit of detail into it?

so anyone look at the spanish clip in the first 20 seconds and notice the shots fired from the oil rig into the water, and how the water looked around the oil rig?

Why do you have a picture of fish from "zybez"?

It's a trout...

WTF's Zybez?? Anyway, that's a trout. Not from 'Zybez', but from RS.

The difference is that the monster IS under the oil platform!

Yes, he is. And since posts get lost in this thread in about 30 seconds, I'll say it again:

He's UNDER the platform, and that's where he stays. If he swam away, how could he throw the stuff at the boat FROM THE SAME PLACE THE PLATFORM SANK?

Because that's just a small part of him (if it's him)
Unless he swallows the whole station, he'd have to move out of the way anyway.

No one said anything about MGP swimming away...

As for the 'debris floating'----with how poor the CGI effects are in this one, don't you have to ask yourself- WHY WOULD THEY ADD THAT BIT OF DETAIL????

There have been many experiments to see if it happened, and it didn't. Ever watch mythbusters? One of them stood on the bow of a ship, not a little rowboat, but a decommisioned ship (Believe it was a large fishing boat) and they sank it. The boat went down, the guy didn't. He just floated there in the water.

Naval ships sank all the time in World War two, and many sailors were rescued from the water. My grandfather was one of them. Lucky for him, he and the other 100 guys that jumped off their destroyer as it was going down didn't get "Sucked Down".

do you guys not remember the WB's E-mail with the words "No OIL Here"?

Chuai was never stated to have actually opened yet, thus it wouldn't have a profit due to no production from not being open yet. Besides, the Whistle Blower is very obviously biased against Tag and makes things appear the way he wants them to appear. Ever hear of Richard Hoagland? The Russians love him but never hear the debunks.

Besides, that still doesn't change the fact that MGP is a lot lighter than Black. I live in a town and even I know that black things are still black when streetlights light them up.

There's also the possibility it's just a support as well, someone describes the black spot as "round" while the support is "round"

No need to immediately search through Tagruato censored footage for what they would censor out afterall.

EDIT:

There's also the logical problem of something blowing out air causing someone to get sucked down. The force of the bubbles would force people up, not pull them down. Unless the water became mostly air bubbles (a very large amount, more than most ships could give out after sinking) getting sucked down would not happen.

hey Headman, post those two pics again! I think your on to something, not that it could take us very far but I don't think they would have shot that clip of the older japanese guy the way they did to show the other guy in the background like that if they didn't want us to look a "little closer".

There's no other explanation for it. It can't be the boat. The black spots don't stay consistent, and the size scales look dramatically different. Right now, i'm 95% sure it's MGP until size comparisons are released, or a higher def video shows that the black dots are a single dot that doesn't submerge repeatedly.

thank you! That's what i've been saying.
there has to be a reason to add something of that magnitude to something that was 'poorly' done (I still don't think it's THAT bad, but I see what people mean in comparison)

if you watch the high quality slow-mo wmv posted a page or two back, it's not anything falling off of the station, there's 'no oil at chuai', the life raft is about 10-20 times smaller than that.. and a wake just wouldn't push that far or make that large or defined of a ripple in the water.

ETA: just because the spots appear black under the water doesn't disprove that it could be MGP. Plus, he could be multicolored, and it all depends on WHAT part of his body it happens to be.
Not to mention, his body doesn't really surface, so he could be far under the water, but so big that it causes the water above him to move in his shape (Kind of like Godzilla did in the 1998 movie in the pier scene), so all we're seeing is the water move above him and a shadow of him underneath.
