I mean, seriously. OMG it's a black spot. OMG I'll tell you why. IT"S ON YOUTUBE!!! (Sorry for screaming, but this is just wasting forum servers to handle usless stuff.)

It's safe to assume that there's nothing you can see in the videos that show even a portion of MGP... If JJ wanted us too, (Or the PMs) he would make the camera zoom in a little. As far as I know, JJ once commented that he's not a fan of the "zoom in and change the lighting with Adobe After Effects" thing. He likes tracking websites down and finding not-so-obvious-but-not-so-difficult-to-see clips that get people talking without a program to 'infrared' or some crap like that.

I think the black spot's the shadow of the station. If it's moving, it either
1. An error on thier part
2. Youtube's worldwide quality
3. The same thing with "Demon in the hair" and "Knob that moved in the last Jamie vid"

Lay off. Basically, If it's black, it's black. ITS NOT MGP, which is certainly greenish. AND the things that pop out of the water?

You can clearly see it's metal as soon as the it's about to crash into the boat. I'm not going to even show a pic- that's too much trouble for this.

As the quoted above says, OMG ITS MGP. Now what? Even if it IS MGP, nothing's going to change. Unless you magically find an e-mail or website in the black shape, what's that going to do for the ARG?Sorry for the harsh words, but this is what we have to do now-

Find out where the videos came from, and who
THEN we can argue if it's black or not.


You're right, let's stop arguing over things floating in the water and try to find the source of this vids. We need to find out where these came from.

I think that the black spot is just the foot of the pontoon leg that keeps the platform buoyant. It rises up as the pontoon is being turned and then immediately disappears as the platform sinks quickly. Nothing more than that. The bottoms are usually painted black anyway. Not all rigs are like the picture below some have individual feet for each pontoon but I'm sure we get the drift......

 		We have everything we need to figure out what's moving away at upper right in the helicopter shot. We have 2 angles of the station, one from the chopper and one from the boat. I took screenshots of the footage from both the German (de) and French (fr) reports.

Considering the views, and the notable location of the helipad in each, and overall position of the station I think I can say that the object is in fact the boat.

Can we all rest easily now?

Edit: was beat to it.. but i'm still convinced it's too damn big to be a little inflatable rescue boat.

Have you ever watched the image of a surfer getting attacked by a great white? or the image of a whale under under the surface of the water...

It's black. Anything under the surface of the water is going to come out black- unless its straight-up white or a really light color. But MGP is a dark green.

So that's not proof enough that it's not the monster.

Again, I press the issue of detail... with all the flaws that we can find in the CGI in this video, why would they add such a minor detail such as debris. And how could it be a shadow if there is no sunlight? And the object is just too big to be the rescue boat.

We all see the object. There is no doubt about that... So, there is a reason for it.

 		The French video:

going back to the initial collapse, in the french clip that shows the Chua station being torn apart, after panning into the helicopter to the Japanese executive and back out to the station, as the right side of the station collapses and it begins to fall apart from the center, as the roar happens SOMETHING DARK GREEN RISES UP OUT OF THE WATER AND PULLS DOWN ON THE WRECKAGE through the center of the station, and once the station is completely falling apart it swims away and up/right as that big bump we see off in the distance on the upper right corner, rising and curving like the top of a whale as it rises....unless there are TWO monsters.

As to how all that wreckage pops straight up out of the water, it could be spit out.... anything being thrust or thrown should have a angle to it.

And to add something further useless to this thread....

I've been checking youtube, myspace, google, and every other damn thing I can think of, typing in tagruato, agruato TIDO tidowave T.I.D.O wave, Chuai, Ganu, whatever I can think of, anywhere I can think to do it.

I find nothing but these original 4 videos.

I don't think there'll be an English one untill tomorrow. Maybe about 2 PM eastern.

are you freaking kidding me??!! There is NO WAY that's the boat from that angle!!

Look, I don't know what the hell the black thing is in the water, maybe a part of the monster, maybe not, we won't know until we find the SOURCES OF THE VIDEOS!! Until then, it rests....but for the love of God open your freaking eyes man!! No way in hell that's the boat. Angles are ALL WRONG!!
