Hmm, well, one option might be something like this:

The shape he describes, with two right angles and one obtuse angle, would be a sort of pentagon (one that looks like a square with a triangle on top of it), so the 'target' number to alter would be 5. If we collapse the triangular section, the "gable", to a line, we get a square (which has a mirrored pair of right angles above our original pair of right angles). So we're supposed to convert the 5's to 4's? Then our original number:

Ok, so I have been in catch up mode. Took a little time off. I tried the phone number at 10:26 EST this morning and got a generic Sprint PCS voicemail message. I don't know if it is the correct number or what message to leave so I just hung up. Has anyone else tried this yet??

Wow, so-- this morning I called and got that same generic voicemail, but I just tried again and talked to Nate! He had to basically run and hide in order to talk, and it sounded like there was a lot of wind noise (or something?) in the background. We talked for maybe 10-15 minutes or so, and here's all the info I have:

- He's being watched by both Bobby and Bergeru now
- As he mentioned earlier, one of the angels is working for Bobby/told Bobby about Nate's contact with us, which has made Bobby watch him more closely
- Nate knows about Bobby's plan and, based on his mental contact with the various demons, thinks it has basically no hope of succeeding.

- Instead, he wants to do the following: He focuses his energy through the focus crystal, to keep the gate open for demons. There is basically no one else who can keep the gate open like this-- anyone else would be ripped apart trying. He spends ~10 hours/day doing this, where the crystal is in his hands alone. So, his plan is to basically take the crystal and run again, but this time he wants to destroy it so that no further demons can cross over (and then presumably somehow deal with the demons that remain on this side? I don't know). Since he has unrestricted access to the crystal, getting away will be no problem. It's just staying out and destroying the crystal that will be tricky... To do this, he needs our researching help with a few things:

1. Find info about the Focus Crystal: the crystal is a fist-sized red crystal etched with runes which focuses psychic/clairvoyant energy. Nate is going to send us the runes as soon as he can (possibly not until he runs away again, as he is being watched). He needs any info we can find on such a crystal, particularly how to destroy it-- he said that he's already tried more conventional means (like throwing it against a brick wall), to no avail. Also, the crystal was apparently brought to earth hundreds of years ago and then held for this purpose (bringing demons over to start the end of the world, etc).

2. Find a way for Nate to block both angels and demons: Nate needs a way to block both Bobby and whatever demons they send after him (Bergeru?), as he says Bobby will work hard to try and retrieve Nate if he runs (presumably to use Nate for his own plan). Any ways to bolster his energy for Stopping, or give him some protection (wards, circles, anything we can come up with) would be useful.

Send all info to Nate's email address for now-- he accesses the internet psychically, but it leaves a hole/gap/dark spot that others can see. They won't know specifically what he's up to, but it will make them suspicious. So, he'll try and collect the info periodically, and he'll let us know when to call him again.

Some other info Nate mentioned-- apparently he got into this whole thing through Bobby. He had an obsession with the occult through which he met Bobby. Bobby showed him how to use his psychic gifts, and introduced him to this whole demon organization (though Nate had no idea that's what it was at the time). He thought he was a special team organized to accomplish a great goal (for good), but didn't find out what it was really for until he was already under contract. Apparently they had a sort of cult-like entrance period where they gave up all worldly possessions (bank accounts, etc), so if Nate flees, he'll be on foot with no resources.

Also, he's apparently expanded his gifts to the point where he can make himself invisible for brief periods, though it hurts to do so. This should be useful for escaping/hiding.

Okay, I think that's everything I got. Sorry if this is a bit long! It seems like Nate and Bobby's plans are going to diverge pretty soon, so we may have to choose between them... not sure what to do on that one. For now, I guess I'll probably keep digging on whatever research they need, and play for time. Also, I must admit I'm very curious who leaked Nate's contact to Bobby...
