I think they mention the lawsuit to make it seem more important, but they obviously omit the case name as it would be public record.

To make it look more authentic. EndOil.org is definitely OOG since it was created in 2004.

Well I doubt that was planned, but that huge undersea earthquake a few years ago was on the 26th of Dec.

According to the Tido post they just got back on Jan 1. If true that would definitely put them in the area on around Dec 27. I think this actually happened earlier and TAG is giving the Dec 27 date to further implicate TIDO as they know they were in the area then, but the station was already gone.

 		i am 99.9% sure this is IG(always leave a little uncertainty just in case.), honestly who would go through such trouble? i mean, o.k. the special effects look total cheesy blue screen for a big movie studio but on the other hand it looks to good even for lets say a bunch of college kids with all the proper equipment. another point is the time it would take to edit and put together the videos. the news of the rig just broke only last week and for someone to put this all together this quick, to good to be OOG.

 		I agree this is IG. I think that interview is taken out of context with permission from that endoil group. There is no reference to the specific Chaui station or disaster. So with permission to get some publicity, endoil allows this. Works both ways, looks good for the viral, and the free publicity works for Endoil.

There is no Channel 26 news in Norwalk, CT. Norwalk is a relatively small city in CT.

I'm surprised that you are declaring this in-game so quickly. I see a lot of discrepancies with this video:

1. Account creation date - All the accounts for the other videos were made in 2006, this one was created 2 weeks ago.
2. Upload date - The video was uploaded today... enough said
3. Other videos - The other accounts had other videos in them, I guess to make it seem more real (The german account has 18 videos!). This one has no other videos.
4. Memo - The memo is in Japanese in the other videos, but it is in English in the Japanese version??!?!?!
5. The Source - the person that posted it here was his first post, and seemed a little defensive when questioned about it:

 		Why is everyone discussing the quality of the videos? Of course they're cheap and cheesy. These aren't meant to be seen on a HD TV or a movie screen! They're made to be posted on websites like youtube where the crappy video quality of the sites will mask some of the cheapness of the videos.

These vids aren't for the public, they're for those of us that take the time to find them on the internet. They're for the ARG. What do you expect, a budget of 40 million with well known actors and ILM doing FX??

These videos look exactly the way I expect viral marketing videos to look.

And the American one matches our "Don't give a crap about world events" style perfectly.
