I'm trying to figure out if that's an exact shot from the vids or not.

Either way...as I said...it's pretty obvious (from the timing at least) that they wanted to make sure we knew the vids weren't just some fanmade BS....not that there was really any doubt.

After some more hours of sleep, I see more has come to light.
Thanks Slusho Addict for showing graphically what I was talking about with the overlay graphics over the footage. I was looking at the interview portion with the Tagruato rep., with which you could do a similar comparison. The audio is of course the other matter, if it were a fake then the dubbing would become fairly obvious. The quality of the footage seen in each successive video seems to improve in key parts, like the Tagruato rep. in the Japanese video. If this was all copied video, it would degrade.

Something to note about the really cheesy US video - it came out on LiveLeak 9 hrs. ago and was featured no less. It's not a very well know site so it was found last. The Dailymotion served French video with the lower quality version of the location graphic was uploaded 22 hrs. ago. If the US one were faked, the French one stole from it 13 hrs before it existed. Do gamejackers now have time machines? Laughing

The Dailymotion video was originally set as private on the native site, but as of checking just now it's gone public - which is how I was able to determine it's upload time.

I'm a skeptic, but I look beyond the surface 'in your face' details to look for the really tricky details that'd screw things up. They are just fitting together right in all these videos. The errata and discrepancies are more like those of any news item vs other news outlets.

The only video that seems to be a bit light on the comparative details is the Russian one, which I'll delve into next. I think if any news fakes come out it'll be in the next couple of days and you'll see really hamfisted edits in them.

I'm not inclined ot sift through 60+ pages of comments, and I'm sure with that many, there's been a translation of the French video, but if there hasn't been by chance, I'd be happy to translate it; I'm fluent in French. I like the mention of Tido... interesting. The soldiers with Tag logos on their shoulder... and the debris exploding out of the ocean. Cool.
