 		May I direct your attention to Saturday, January 5th, where i posted the theory that there would be a distress call from the tanker.

I was, of course, immediately shot down.

the bit of what is said about the tanker was slightly confusing because first I was sure it said the tanker was coming from Norway to New York, but then I heard it was "returning", and being a Norwegian tanker I thought, why would they say "returning" if it was going to New York?
This is why I am unsure about which direction it is heading in.
I am going to get a friend to look things over with me tonight and get him to translate the Japanese into easier Japanese for me. (none of my friends can speak English)

I was under the impression that he was interviewed in New York City, but either way, it doesn't matter. I really doubt he was interviewed at Chuai Station and took a boat back that the monster could follow. I'm not really sure what you're trying to say here I guess.

Once he gets closer I would suspect so but why would the tanker head straight for NYC? Maybe they are getting their orders from Tag and there is an emergency plan in place.

There is no way that is the nearest port. There is something that has to do with rob having something he brought back. Not necesarily why the tanker went there, but why clover did, yes.

I wish i could find a link but at one point i read that they gave him free shirts and a shload of slusho, which is what he gave to everyone at the party that night. maybe he hasnt left yet, but he met up with someone and they gave him something. thats not vague enough huh, haha.


well I mean, that doesn't mean he left the states though! If you check Rob's myspace, Beth has post about wishing him good luck at the interview the next day....I'm assuming he's meeting with the folks from Tagruato but it suggests nothing that he left the states.

 		Rob mentions on his Myspace page that he was given free T-shirts, but I didn't see any mention of Slusho - in fact, all of Rob's friends are telling Rob how great Slusho is, so I doubt Rob has tried it.

BTW, how on Earth did Rob get a job as VP in Japan after one interview when he doesn't speak Japanese????

Maybe MGP is an extremophile that lurked deep in the waters under the Chuai station. He fed off this seebed nector that increases your strength and whatnot like in that report. He then finds that nector is being taken, his survival instincts kick in, he begins to worry, "what if this shit runs out, what is a guy like me to do" so he traces the nector up to the station, and wrecks up the place. He then fallows the tanker to new york, and yet again begins to wreck up the place.

Of course this is all asuming MGP is a male.

PS. this is just one of like 10 pluasable theries i have made

You know, i was wondering the same thing. I work for a beverage compnay (The alchoholic kind!) and I had a Pre-interview, a REAL interview, a drug screeening, a background check, a physical, and then a THIRD interview. This all took about 2 months.

I know it's a movie, but it's a stretch for me to believe Rob got a job with a large international company beginning it's expansion in the west after one afternoon meeting.

yes and that gives us an approximate of its weight, according to newton's third law. unless TM can oppose 40 millions Kg (aided by water resistance) he is going to accelerate in the opposite direction. 40Mkg is quite a weight. So either TM is really deep on the ocean floor or its able to control water movement (40Mkg moving will create a BMF wake)

I'd just like to quote this seeing as people are asking about the tanker now.
The tanker is shown in the Japanese report as Hav Vind, The name in Katakana is Habu Bindo, which is the japanicised version they use.

They show a map with New York marked when the tanker is mentioned, but I've no idea what they're saying, there is also a circle in the sea between New York and Chuai, so presumably that's where the tanker was last heard from.
