 		[Spec] Jamie Starts Infection
ok, so in my head, its pretty damn obvious that jamie is the start of the whole infection and people getting sick (and mutating if that happens) it makes so much sense its rediculous. she just ate it.

if MR.GP was to spread the infection, it would be near impossible. its not like he can just go pick someone up, nick them on their shoulder and be like...off you go.... even by accident a scratch from him would be near impossible, would result in squish/broken everything.

clearly the infected people start from jamie. unknown substance, eats it, gets sick, spreads to friends etc etc etc

You don't know what MGP looks like so it's false logic to say that he cannot do something.

There are various reason why this isnt likely.

A) People talk about 'a bite' and unless Jamie turns into a mini monster..

B) We are fairly sure that it is DSI she is eating, which we know doesnt cause infectious diseases.

C) There is very little proof of a wide spread infection.

 		i just had to stop by and disagree.

while your theory is plausible, it's somewhat clear from the TV spots that a bite is what starts the infection.
Marlena is perfectly healthy until somewhere in the movie she gets bitten, she proceeds to get sicker and sicker, and then they find the shelter where other victims have gone for security.
Then you hear "BITE, WE HAVE A BITE!" (which obviously means something considering the distress in the woman's voice)
Proceed with caution to the "expanding woman" scene.

Jamie isn't listed in the character's list for the movie- I think she's just a part of the viral campaign, so it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for the infection to begin with her.

Just my .02

hmmm interesting theory but I just don't see any hard evidence to support the presence of an infection. Maybe someone can proove me wrong?

My theory is that whatever she ate contained some sort of parasite...

The substance Jamie ate could very well be DSI.. I think there is something in DSI that is dangerous when ingested while it is not in it's frozen form (parasite perhaps?) I think that this "parasite" is ingested when Jamie consumes the "evidence". The parasite grows, and uses Jamie as a host until finally it is able to reach a stage where it is able to burst out of her.. Thus a tiny little monster to help terrorize NY...

Jamie is obviously all cracked out on the DSI, or evidence, whatever the hell she just ate. It gives her some kind of euphoria almost like a drug. So Jamie probably calls good old Marlena and makes her try this new "awesomest stuff ever". Marlena, being a girl who likes to have fun and live on the edge consumes this mystery treat and before you know it she is all cracked out on this stuff and ends up exploding too... Thus more little tiny monsters to terrorize NY...

And somehow this relates to MGP but I haven't wrapped my mind around that yet..

Oh yea I think the "WE HAVE A BITE" scene was actually just a voice over.. My guess is from another scene... So the bite does not have to do with Marlena's little, uhhh "episode" ..

I wonder if a bite needs to be to a person with DSI/Slusho to initiate the infection / explosion. Maybe that event then transfers the disease to those exposed to it. Setting off a pandemic chain event?

If you remember from the widget clip, it seems she's already not feeling well at Rob's party. Some speculate she ate some of Jaime's treat. I think she just sat next to Jaime's skank @$$ too long.

 		certainly not. She just gets hopped up on Seabed Nectar, which to this day DOES NOT cause any infection or exploding people.

 		Hmm... If Jamie ate the DSI (the same ingredient that is in SLUSHO) and it's reasonable to asume that it is the same, I dont think Jamie starts the whole thing. Lots of people have had SLusho already, to include the Japanese and HAWK has stated that he has already had SLUSHO.

Unless she ate something else...

which is why Teddy would advise her not to eat it.
Or maybe the seabed nectar is the parasite,
but they call it that...
because who would want to eat something
if they knew it was a parasite.
This may have been discussed before...
