Well, TLE was a freaking high tech ARG, with thing that couldn't be thinked by the regular ARGer, so they made this for a more gneral audience. The thing is, that to keep a "General" audience on a game, they need constant updates. A hardcore ARGer can survive without clues for a long time, by working on other unsolved clues, but the casual gamer will get bored without those. That's my point of view on the rushed updates thingy.

Cassarnas, I have to agree with your general audience spec. Especially with the TV commercials/billboards for Oceanic.

I think this is less of an ARG and more of an online-narrative (with simple puzzles). I think no amount of character interaction/puzzle solving will move the story any faster.

I still think it is poor form to release glitchy material though. Although they definably aren't as bad as some I've played (I'm looking at you Save My Husband)

More glitches! Now the "My progress" bar says:
Quote:
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 4
Chapter 5
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 4
Chapter 5

Something tells me that 42 Isn't involved in this.

EDIT: The site crashed. For real. I got a 403 Forbidden error!

You don't have permission to access /site/index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

i keep getting this every time i try to go to the website...Sad

Do not worry, that's just the site updating.

I'm in the same boat... I just came home from ballet, figured that since it was a little over an hour after the update the site would run fairly well, very excited, and...

server crash. I really don't want to sound snobby and rude, because I know how hard running and organizing an ARG must be (even though this isn't exactly an ARG, it still takes TONS of work, I'm sure, especially on such a large scale), but these glitches and server problems are really taking a lot of the fun out of it for me... I know that sounds terrible...

I guess I'm just crabby... I'm sure I'll feel much better about all this tomorrow when I see the update (hopefully).
