The ridge that's there today is actually very young...only a few years old is places, and probably a maximum of a few thousand years old where they were drilling (based on the maps I've seen). I'm guessing that's part of the reason there's no oil there...the rock isn't old enough.

I know what it says...but, the Ridge is a divergent fault, which means it's moving apart...which means new magma from the mantle is moving up and forming new crust. The closer you get to the middle of the ridge, the newer the crust is.

I must be the most unread person. I have been saying this the whole time. It is near a suspected Atlatis location in the portugal islands. look where on the ridge the station is at then go look at google earth, then look at the leaked sonar images, they are of the islands Pico and Soa Jorge. Come on people work with me!

Why would this be anymore far fetched than blowholes, aliens and toxic nectar? It's fantasy/fiction man. Also, they are closer to Europe than New York, which is 3000 miles away. I say it's still plausible.

 		Bloody hell. This has picked up something crazy since last night.

I was wondering - maybe MGP ISN'T following the tanker? Because, someone said earlier that tankers aren't that fast, and MGP shows surprising speed - so maybe MGP is just randomly walking towards NY or maybe he heads off towards NY in the direction that the tanker/the helicopter went after a) destroying the tanker (if he's going off the tanker's direction) or b) destroying Chuai? Maybe he just wants revenge and so heads off in that direction. Maybe.
