I've been into Feist for a while. Colby Caillat, Sara Bareilles, One Republic, The Rocket Summer.

I like all music.

Really been into indie rock, alternative, jazz, and alternative/underground Hiphop. For those of you who don't know what underground Hiphop is, it's basically anything that doesn't have claps or snaps in it, and it's DEFINITELY nothing that goes "Soulja Boy up in this ho."

But if you wanted a little sample...: Very Happy
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Stevie Wonder
James Brown
Curtis Mayfield
The Four Tops
The Temptations
Jackson 5
Michael Jackson
Daphne Loves Derby
Cartel
The Rocket Summer
My American Heart
Ciudad
Hieroglyphics
The Cool Kids
Son of Ran
Kanye West
Lupe Fiasco
Pharrell
N*E*R*D
The Neptunes

Grew up a metalhead, Pantera being the end all be all of my existence. But in the early nineties, i discovered the rave scene here in Orlando. Fell in love with techno, especially breakbeats, and have been totally and only really into that since. Still like a lil rock, but its ninety five percent breaks

The "Rob's Party Mix" thread made me curious, what kinds of music do you all like?

Personally, I loves meself some Progressive Metal like Dream Theater or Symphony X... but I like good ol metal like Metallica and A7X (their last two albums)

Speaking of A7X... my brother got their new cd the other day... I absolutely love it.. refreshing to hear some originality in mainstream bands...

I thought the music that children were required to listen to was classical, but that works too. Neutral Anyway, what are some examples of some 80's and 90's Hiphop that you used to(or currently) listen to?

Straight from my mind, I like metal, hard rock, alternative, and industrial.

The list:

Avenged Sevenfold (I have the new album and City of Evil)
Slipknot
Disturbed
System of a Down
Lamb of God
Green Day
Killswitch Engage
Korn
Iron Maiden
Faith No More
Metallica
Egypt Central
Flyleaf
AFI
Nine Inch Nails (worth mentioning here)
Mastodon
Tool
Queens of the Stone Age
Muse
DragonForce
Linkin Park
Paramore
Foo Fighters
Nirvana
Bullet for my Valentine
Slayer
Stone Sour (Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor is the frontman for this band
Alter Bridge
Coheed & Cambria
Rammstein
White Stripes
Wolfmother
My Chemical Romance
Rise Against

I can't stand Fall Out Boy or Rap, because it just sucks. I also can't stand Cartel and Panic! at the Disco.

The next time I hear " Soulja Boy up in this ho" I'm going to shoot myself, because that also sucks royally.
