I went back over the French video again. A couple of things:

1) It corroborates the story in the American version of the report about proceedings against Tag in the U.S.

2) As someone mentioned in the mega-thread, jr, that giant KEY and box most probably has some significance - or it may be pointing to us that this interview is KEY. I still am not sure how, unless Mdme LeClerc is Le Bandit Vert or Janice.

3) It seems that the French video is incomplete - it stops mid-sentence. Maybe we should look for a second part, like there was of the Korean video?

Does anyone think that Tagruato denying all existance of the armed troops mean that those people could be Tidowave wearing Tag logos to look like they are part of Tag?

Personally I think Tag is simply embarrassed they exist as they would contravene at least Japanese law if not international law, but there are other possibilities there.

I think this is the only video that mentions Tagruato denies the armed people exist.

Just base speculation, but I questioned how the military reacted so fast. With the oil rig disaster hitting the news, the coast guard somewhere in the area, it might be that MGP isn't a complete mystery to the government -- meaning, they're possibly figuring it out and/or even trying to track MGP. It would follow then that we might get a few more "news" stories between now and the 18th, and possibly even a government press conference type situation. An early alerted military could also explain the explosion (you know, shot first, ask questions later).

In looking at the French vid it may be the key is next to the box and so that is the key. "Janice's pic" may not have contained the info but was made to be sure you knew when the info was there.

The top of the box has cutouts, could these be letters or symbols?
Is it possible for someone to cut that out and rotate it?

for sure, by now, many countries are having Tagruato in close sight. They have oil rigs all over the world and nobody wants an "exxon valdez" near its shore. so by the 18th it is plausible to say that the situation is already monitored somehow and MGP is already suspected/known to exist, but kept secret (like they always do in movies)

Military of any type being in the area may just mean they themselves don't believe that to be an oil rig, and are monitoring. I mean the military is not going to take a blind eye to a "oil rig" that isn't really an oil rig, that houses armed soldiers and that many scientists, especially in such close proximity to the American coastline. While Joe Public may buy that an oil rig is what they say, you'd think such a base would be under immediate scrutiny by the military at least.

I think the Tagruato denial of armed troops can go one of two ways:

1) Tagruato are lying and they have armed troops
2) the armed troops are pretending to be Tagruato by wearing the logos

if 2) is true, then the question is are these people TIDOwave or another body?
Personally, though, I think 1) is more likely.

I think this line just bugs me out but makes me think that Mother earth means the monster and there trying to save it from Tagruato holding it at the chuai station?
