We already know there's no oil on Chuai. That dark mass was the monster.

 		hmmm.. I did mention the thing about there possibly being other monsters as well. Would make sense for MGP to cut through the USA to get to the other stations. as for the tentacle thing..tough to say, it looks like something is pulling it down, maybe a tounge not a tentacle? like a frog tounge that can stretch out? maybe MGP is amphibian?

 		Agreed, no tentacle. Too vague, too grainy, rorschach (sp?) image, and not in line with what we know so far.

As far as MGP moving "away" as a dark shape under the water... I have my doubts on that.

In order to move away as some have said, he must be a good swimmer, as he would definitely NOT be touching the bottom.

My take is that he climbed up the posts, got to the bottom of the station and started pulling stuff under.

The projectiles (which was a cool touch, btw), are various parts of the station, or possibly empty "containers" of the SBN that was being harvested by the station. He sucked 'em dry and spit 'em out. Smile

Hello everyone I just registered.

I agree with phantomjester and others who believe it is part of the creature. I have studied carefully the videos of the newscasts. It is a reasonable assumption that part of the creature is wrapping around the pole above the water line which it uses for leverage to yank the rest of the station underneath. I also believe that you see a similar part of the creature above the water in what some people believe is the creature swimming away. I do not think it is swimming away. I believe it is just below the surface of the water and you are observing a couple of sightings of its body parts slashing through the water. The dark spot the newscaster thinks is oil is part of the creature's body close to the surface. It is my guess that the creatures has many appendages or limbs that can grab on to things simultaneously and pull them apart. We have observed that as it dismantles the bridge. Speaking of the bridge I believe in the last couple of frames I again observe a part of the creature in the process of wrapping it's appendage around the bridge to pull it down. You at first just see debris in mid air but behind the debris is a part of the creature pushing it.

Some on this thread have tried to discount these sightings by saying it doesn't match up with what we see of the creature between the buildings. I think we are only seeing a very partial view of the creature and really can't be sure of the entire makeup of it. The creators keep telling us it is going to be a very unique creature, something we have never witnessed before. It is possible this is an alien species or an earthly creature that possibly mutated beyond all recognition of anything even reasonably normal. So we need to be careful of preconceived ideals of what we think the creature will look like. I am sharing what I believe I see on film beyond that I will not speculate on what the entire creature looks like. It's possible that what I'm looking at is nothing more then technical glitches. I don't think so I believe the creators of this movie wanted us to see quick flashes of the creature to cause threads like this one. It doesn't spoil the movie because we only see a very small part of the creature. It is a very smart calculated move on their part for promotional value.

 		Well, I definitely see something come up out of the water and grab the pylon just as we hear it roar. This combined with the fact that we know the monster is destroying the station, is the dark spot underneath ands not oil, and the speed at which this station is pulled underwater (especially when we are told it is designed to float for 24 hrs) what else could it be?

Yes, you have to add up all the pieces of the picture. The station is being destroy, obviously by the creature. You hear it's roar. Security guards possibly firing at something in the water. So why is it so strange to see a couple of quick flashes of the parts of the creature? As I said it is a calculated move by the creators to continue to create interest without spoiling anything.
