We don't know where the monster is, he could have gone back for another swim, or the bridge is being destroyed by earthquakes, we don't know.

I only see the bridge in that clip though, no monster.

Two different scenes/moments, and if that does happen to be the monster, the ground/dock/bridge could simply be shaking (like other earthquake-like tremors felt).... it may not get destroyed until later (when he gets closer)

im not agreeing that I see that monster at all though

 		Actually I see what LBJ is seeing now, it looks like a giant man made out of plasticine.

I might try to align all the frames to see if it's moving.

 		I just saw a different commercial right now on Vh1.
This time they gave it during the I Love New York reunion block.
haha.

But, anyway it lasted about 30 secs.
And it had something VERY different.

The part when they are all in the subway tunnel Rob says:
"looks like they're running away"
{I assume its rats he's talking about}

and then Marlena says"from what?"

And you hear this screech and they start running.
I think its very confirmed the MGP is not alone.

 		if thats the monster in the clip, or even the action figure of it, how does the post i put in the chuai video thread of the face in the oil blob not fit? it would be a perfect sillhoutte (sp?) of the monsters eyes and mouth. actually, it would give it a reptillian looking eye slits and mouth slit.

(i cant listen, im at work)

i do remember a sound, and it was there since the first clip with them saying "did you hear that?" then 'RUN RUN RUN!"

Looks too high up to be a part of Manhattan bridge.

no, which is why I'm like O_O about this whole thing.
Either I'm hearing things. Or I need a break from all this.

I listened closely. I hear something, but its definitely not as loud and as clear as I just heard it in that commercial.

yeah, I do remember that. People were saying it was a fluttering noise or the sound of spider like legs.
But, this was a loud distinctive screech.

im kinda feelin the smoke idea.... Confused
maybe residue smoke from previous explosion?
and
is HUD looking back, or are they all heading in the direction of the "monster"

I've seen this picture before.

I'm nearly convinced this is the monster. Of all the fake pictures and fan art I've seen, this one makes the most sense. Given what we know about the beast and the "between the buildings" clip, this looks right to me.

He's looking back, the tanker is shot from the middle of brooklyn bridge, so any footage of it destroyed is looking back from where they ran from.

Could be smoke.

It's the work of the creator of the cloverfield monster. It's on his website as one of his concepts, and he's already said in an email that no one will see the monster before the movie (minus spoilers)
