[SPEC]oil slick or no oil slick?

We talked about it in the mega-threat, but I suppose it's worth mentioning again.

We know there is no oil at Chuai, therefore, the 'oil slick' they pointed out has to be something else.

It could be a shadow of a part of MGP, it could be deep-sea nectar.

We know MGP is under there.. we don't know if we actually see any part of him in the clips (tentacles, black humps, humpy things floating away etc)

I don't know that there's any way to confirm WHAT it is, but it isn't oil.

Actually I think that thread was about the black round-ish object off to the right of the station, versus the stuff in the water that is pointed out in the English report.

It probably doesn't matter what it is. I'm sure they only pointed it out to make us guess, nothing more. We know there is no oil, the reporter doesn't, so we are supposed to at this point speculate: monster? DSI? Well, we'll never know, it's just too fuzzy, so it's one of those most likely, who knows which.
