Jeez, I'm seeing that smellybug-22 pic all over the freakin internet now with people claiming it's the monster.
I'd not seen anything by Konig or even heard of him before I posted this thread, now I bet his e-mail box is on fire. Before July he was just another creature designer that worked for Tippett Studios.
Now, he's the FATHER OF CLOVER (aka Mister Grumpypants)

Has your old photobucket been killed from people leeching that photo? I noticed your avatar was down a minute ago.

My photo bucket has gone nuts. There's too many hits on it. i think one or two websites got the pic from here, after I posted it, and hotlinked it.

Delete the pic if you can, then replace it with one of the same file name, with just 'it's a lion!' or something.

Btw, I now hate movieweb with a passion. One of my favorite sites is now linking to movieweb's apparent 'picture' of the Cloverfield monster. The stupidity of some people truly amaze me. Do they really thing JJ would let a picture of the monster surface on the net, (not to mention its on Peter's personal page) much less at least a month before the movie?

Maybe we should start mass emailing movieweb with the picture of the model on the desk? I can't find the link for it though but it would be good to repost the image here.
It's a nice picture and his artwork gave us a rough idea of what to expect. The smellybugs and a few other works at his site were meant for that purpose alone as far as Cloverfield was concerned.
Man....people took that picture and ran with it....off the side of credibility mountain. No one checks there sources anymore...sigh.

I already posted in the comments under another nom de plume and tried to reason with them, but half the replies are sticking their fingers in their ears and saying "Na na na na, I don't hear you, this IS the monster and I won't listen to reason!" and trying to rationalize the facts. Oh well, I tried.
