hey wait a sec...this could get out of hand...very VERY quickly
yeah- I actually appreciated this post. It provided much needed humor to the forums right now. And I can say that we all make 'blonde-styled' mistakes from time to time. I mean, my sarcasm isn't to be mean or spiteful, but to enjoy a good 'blonde moment' at its fullest.

Man -some of you are real jerks. Of course, I could probably follow even half the threads any of you have started with the apparent aim of driving you off because I'm of the opinion your post is worthy of a string of expletives and insults topped with a dollop of smartassery.
And I really expect no less of a reaction to my own post here, but whatever. I'm just trying to stick up for someone who apparently only joined yesterday and happened to get sniffed out by some blood-thirsty forum dwellers who've spent 18 hours a day here through the past six months. Sad, guys... sad.

You don't need to spend 18 hours a day here for the past six months to realize that a monster is heading for New York. Considering this is a forum for Cloverfield, I expect most people to have seen the trailer before they come here.

Does anyone have a link to another thread that says what Heizer was actually trying to say? I really don't think his primary point was that the monster was going to attack NYC as opposed to some other city.
I took his post (once resurrected) to mean that he speculates that recent in-game events are starting to intersect with real-world time. I note that the Wiki has separate timelines for real vs. alternate. Is there something that explicitly makes that connection here?
It also sounds like he's suggesting that MGP is following a shipping vessel toward NYC. What is the typical travel time of those vessels? How fast can MGP move and is he doing it above or underwater? There are ten days yet until the in-game attack on NYC...why so long?
Perhaps all of this has been discussed before but it seems like Heizer got a bit of an unfair reception here.

Man, the people online right now are some serious jerks. 5 Pages of mean ass comments from the same people that were still questioning if this was an ARG in the first place not even 2 weeks ago.

It is not always the case that an in-game timeline matches dates with realtime. While it may be generally accepted by the audience that this is the case, please provide links to specific discussions.

I don't know what to link them too that's more obvious in this case than 1-18-08.com, which I thought they would've seen by now
