Weird ass Cloverfield TV Spot On MTV.

I saw one also. About an hour and half ago on MTV. It was a Cloverfield trailer, mixed in with another commercial, just like that. The commercial was about some girl singer, named terry, er something or other. Not that commerical.

It would have been cooler if they had a fake commercial, then make it look like the broadcast is being hacked and show fuzzy leaked images from chuai station, or some TIDOwave propaganda.

I mean hell, Radiohead had that crazy shit happening for Amnesiac (I believe it was) and it seemed to wonders for promotion even though it hardly made sense.

Once again, more and more disappointed with the way this is headed.

Predictable and uncreative.

What I got from it is like. It's showing a interuption of the daily life to show this breaking news. Even though its in a commerical form, I still got like someone got the camera and was trying to broadcast it to the world. Or at least america.

the chicks name is kate nash and she is mtv's artist of the week... see mtv doesnt play music anymore except every week they have the artist of the week and show random clips of the artist/band during commercials and at the end of shows during the credits. cloverfield/paramount probably had absolutely nothing to do with this and just bought ad time for the trailers on mtv then they(mtv) put the kate nash bit on top

Looks like they're trying to recreate the effect of the channel being hacked. Creative, at least! I do agree that it'd be better if it was images from the station (or something else TIDO might feasibly want people to see), but there've already been people thinking the collapse was for real, so maybe not such a good idea unless they're TRYING to instigate another War of the Worlds incident.
