Hmmm, interesting!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Do you know for sure that an EMP will erase a tape or hard drive? As far as I knew it only fried circuits.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
An EMP from a nuke can depolarize magnetic surfaces...so anything recorded on tape or hard-drive in the vicinity would be erased.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You are completely assuming that the nuke was succesfull; but it doesnt show anything after the sirens and what seems like the initial explosion, then cuts away.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I just thought of some interesting sequel ideas if this is real:

I mean if this really is a baby and they nuke it......where's mommy and daddy?! I bet they will be pissed if they are stil alive.

If the DSI stuff are eggs they are harvesting and we know Slusho has been around a bit so they probably have found it at other locations besides Chuai....I am guessing mommy and daddy are out there somewhere still. And who knows how many of these 'Baby' creatures are buried around the world.

That neither would have any sort of appearance/affect on the movie.
It'd be stupid if they did. Good for the ARE though.

As far a a "nice treat"....if this is truely just viral marketing, which I believe it is....don't expect one. Expect this thing to TOTALLY wrapup as soon as the movie is released. Enjoy it while ya can I guess.

True. There is so many people who dont even know about all this going on over the internet (and some that dont care.) If it had any real meaning, then people who just pop up at the local theater looking for a good movie would be totally lost. Its all a means to keep us interested in it til it came out. Otherwise I would have forgotten about it all by the time Transformers came out in the dollar theaters.

I just think it's kind of funny that someone shows up out of nowhere, and posts a "review," and this board, which honestly has been skeptical of the tiniest points made thus far, seems to accept this at face value (with a few exceptions).

OP, do us a favor and take a digital photo of your tickets or some other proof you saw it, thanks! Razz

I don't think that "it's a baby" means that it's literally an infant. I think what they were saying when they said that was that it's confused and doesn't know what is going on, similar to a baby.

I believe the guy because he (I think it's a he) always did sound believable, has friends at Paramount but doesn't brag about them and hasn't spread any BS so far. He even asked anyone if they were going to the same screening beforehand, this is not a first time poster.

Nukes are the "final measure" according to one of the army people. However, they do initiate a strike named "Hammerdown" which is the final scene of the movie (where rob and beth are under the bridge in central park) Bomb sirens (like that of WWII) start going off in preparation for the strike, just as rob and beth give their final speeches. It's a somewhat chilling moment.

We do not know whether the strike was successful or not, or I might have misconstrued "Hammerdown" with this scene where a B-1 Stealthbomber appears to incinerate the monster, which fails, because the monster gets back up knocks the helicopter down into central park. In which case, yes, nukes were used in the final scene with Rob and Beth under the bridge.

If this is true... then I just just just have to say...

I totally called this back in November :

I think you're right, or hope for my sake.

Seriously, this site uses a fine tooth comb on every little detail as it is, and some person without a real reputation to stand on comes in and then makes a "review" and no one is speculative?

Given, I think the review might have been legit (I'll be pissed), but it's still strange that people are so accepting.

I'd have said something if something seemed out of place, I have done for all the other alleged reviews so far, apart from the AICN one, which also seems legit.
What would convince you it was genuine, before being able to see it for yourself? I can't think of anything which would give 100% proof.

The only funny thing I noticed is the monster sounds a bit like a giant, evil version of E.T., but it still sounds plausible.

Like fleabit said, provide me with SOME form of proof. A picture of a ticket, or some sort of invitation.

SOMETHING proving that he/she was there and saw what he/she said he/she saw. Just SOMETHING concrete rather then words.

I'll be 100% if any form of anything can be supplied like that.

A picture of ticket stubs. Something that shows she was there.

The review seems very credible because of the great detail of the creature and parasites. The reviewer doesn't spend a lot of time trying to convince you he really did see the movie, just a matter of fact telling of the movie. He did it like I would have done it if I had just seen the movie. I think the most credible part of his whole review is that it takes place in May not January. People are trying to discredit this review because of the time line. Why if it was a fake review would he change the time line? If you think about the time of the season in the trailer it certainly makes senses. During the TV telecast at the party the temperature shows 63 degrees. A bit warm for a January night in NYC. The Slusho 7 are also walking around the streets in light jackets and shirts? Sorry if you are disappointed with the movie but don't blame the messenger.

Yeah, it does sound fair. I just don't think it will happen, and until then I'll remain skeptical and hope that the dates aren't screwed up the person said they were. I got into this ARG knowing full well it will supplement my movie experience, and if it turns out that it doesn't, I'll be furious.

I need explanations, and I think J.J. owes me that much.

Also, I'm fairly certain I'll LOVE the movie, but I just want to see what I want to see. Call me selfish, but if I'm paying for it, I want it to be everything I want it to, and this movie was shaping up to be that.
