Usually I don't even comment on this stuff because half the time I think I see things other people don't but in this case I can't help it.

We don't know a lot about MGP but we do know he doesn't breathe fire.
The lit up section you have circled as a mouth is clearly the missile exploding on MGP. Where it hits on him it is hard to say but I'm sure it's not right in the mouth. Based on what seem a brief shot of his left leg there I would say it hits him in the left shoulder which would make his head, if we could see it, up and to the left from where you show it.

oh, btw, after looking at the clip a little longer, I realized the reason we see fire in it's mouth is NOT because it's breathing fire, they shot the poor fucker in the mouth lol!

It's not that I think it looks like a shoulder, I don't think at any time you can see any part of MGP's upper body in the clip. It the way the explosion happens on his body and that it appears straight up from one leg. Even the leg is just a brief movement.

It really doesn't matter as you clearly hear the monster make a roar and he would hardly be able to do this with a bomb going off in his mouth.

I swear to god, I could take a shit, take a picture of it, and someone would find the cloverfield monster. You know I have been into this whole "Game" since July, but at this point, I really hope this movie is a remake of "Hope Floats". It really is like looking up in the sky when you are three years old and seeing an elephant. Fuck!
