I know we are all concerned about the main monster, but what about the smaller monsters.

LC. Could we get a detailed description of them, their behavior, and their role in this movie?

Said they were almost identical to these things:

I love this kids stuff!! Very Happy I did skim it though to skip the spoilers, but it seemed to confirm stuff I already suspected! I will read it thoroughly on 1-19-08. Keep up the good work KidReviewer.

hi, first post but LOOOONG time lurker. I was at the screening in Gainesville last night at the Regal Royal Park 16. Just wanted to say that ALL the descriptions of the events in the movie as well as the monster itself are VERY accurate.

The Title of the movie DOES make sense at the very end...but not how anyone would think it does.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Cloverfield" does not reference DSI or anything like that. The monster's design itself generates the military name for the operation...you see the monster has weird looking feet. it has 2 big round toes facing forward and two round toes facing backward.

In the final scene you can see this when the monster steps right in front of HUD. Therefore, when the military recovers the tape in central park, the trackings of the monster are all around, and it is assumed that it looked like a "cloverfield" of imprints all over central park." But this is all ASSUMED because there is no actual footage after the camera cuts out, But im like 99% confident the title implies that.

here is the BEST description of the monster that I can give:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The monster itself is about 30 stories tall, and has grayish, transparent skin, like a deep sea creature. You can see THRU it just a little bit. It walks sort of hunched over and has two HUGE arms that bend forward at the elbow kind of like a spider. It moves upright in most scenes but when it does use its front arms, It actually walks a lot like how a Bat walks around in a cave. It has a slightly humanoid face ( but in a very cool way) where it has slits for its eyes and the mouth kinda reminds me of a Predator's mouth. Its fangs hang over its lips giving it a bulldog look. It has breathing sacks right next to where its ears should be which is common in animals like lizards and stuff.

No tentacles BUT it has a long tail that is oddly reminiscent of a tadpole tail or something close to it. Other than it being just as long as the body, it does not drag and is VERY flat at the end. While you don't get to see a WHOLE lot of the monster you DO get to see it up close a few time and it's VERY VERY cool.

sorry if my grammar is horrible, I'm doped up on cough medicine right now lol.

Damn... I was hoping they called it Cloverfield was cause everytime the monster took a crap, it would magically grow a field of 4 leaf clovers. Very Happy

So are you saying the monster resembles this picture? Or pretty close?

I agree, if the monster looks like this, that will be awesome. The other descriptions weren't that good maybe.

No doubt!! I can't wait to see this in the theaters. I wish someone had an actual screencap that wasn't covered in smoke...

That's not bad at all. Thanks for the effort, blee. That gives me a much better idea than I had with the descriptions so far. Did you see the film yet? Cool
