I took off, too. However, none of my friends want to see it and there are no designated meeting areas for my fellow new york lose--I mean cloverfield enthusiasts. As I posted in the social section, it sucks going to a midnight show by yourself.

 		No call, either, but if they're calling until 5:00 pacific time, then we have until 8:00 pm tonight to receive a call!

If not, then midnight show on Thursday after work, matinee on Friday (1/2 day of work), then evening show on Friday night. Then, after the rest of my friends FINALLY realize what they're missing, I'll go as many times as I need to to get them to see this movie (and try to fill in the backstory for them).

Either way, I win! Wink

 		Meh, I'm used to disappointment, sad to say. In any case, since I'm going to a midnight show, perhaps I'll STILL have free drinks, hehehehe. Big purse and mini bottles FTW!!! j/k!

Those of us on UnFiction should have a guaranteed in!

Lawlbringer, you could join us here in NJ. There's someone in Paramus (though I'm not sure how to tell you to get there exactly), or you could get off the cliched Turnpike exit 9, hit Route 1 south and meet us at Regal. Or, if you're not driving, the train comes into New Brunswick. Just hate to see a fellow Cloverhead alone.... Sad

Oh, and I'll probably take off, too, or at least go 1/2 a day.

Lawlbringer, no midnight show at Regal, but there is one at Loews, which is much closer to the Turnpike. Offer stands. Bring your Kevlar, though. I HATE Loew's, but I love Cloverfield more!

Congrats - I know you're coming from quite a ways. Have a safe trip and enjoy the party! Maybe you should go and see the Statue of Liberty before the party, wave "Hi" to us in New Jersey. check out all the spots that may be featured in the movie. Is this your first time in NYC? in the US?
