That is true, but some say it is a mistake on his part. I would think that he would know what he is talking about. It was discussed in another thread already but there will always be doubters and party poopers.

WOW!! someone actually found a concept for the little monsters without actually realizing it!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Mr Toasty on this thread:

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22852&start=75

found a piece of concept art by Neville Page who actually did final concept art for the movie! The pic is probably the BEST one for describing the lil bastards. I honestly can't find anything fundamentally wrong with this drawing compared to what i remember in the movie. It even has the spider eyes that the movie version has!

Indeed however the entire ARG/viral takes place around a monster attack on 01-18-08.com. The movie is OOG which is really sad

Sorry Katwoman, we've all collectively been given the finger by JJ and crew. In "real time" the monster attacks on January 18th, 2008. Check the pictures on 01-18-08.com. The movie if it takes place in May is essentially OOG by the normal standards we've used since finding 01-18-08.com. It sucks and I'm a little pissed about it. My wife is literally making me go see it since, "you've been obsessed with it for so long".

I really hope that the numbers at the bottom of the screen saying 5-22 instead of 1-18 is not a good enough reason for you to not want to see the movie. That's just childish. Sure, the viral stuff wasn't included, but honestly that just got us more excited about the movie, not the main reason TO see it.

If you decide to not see it, then don't. But I don't really see the point in trying to drag everyone else's excitement down with posts like these... It's a really good movie with a badass monster that we've all been obsessing about for months. Go see it, and enjoy it for what it's worth. When was the last time you got this excited about ANYTHING?

Just my $.02.

Nah, it's not like that at all. I still want to see this movie and by all means I want everybody who is into monster movies to go check it out. If you are into ARGs? Not so much.

I'm saying I was jazzed about the movie, really looking forward to seeing it. I was close to trying out for one of the early showings that was "in my area". I contemplated going to the 11:59 showing even though I work at 4am the next day. This movie was going to be TIGHT and I told all my friends so. Now? meh Unless my wife is serious and is going to "make me see it" I'll go when I've got a free afternoon. Seeing as I've got 2 children under 3 who knows when that'll be.

The last time I got this excited about ANYTHING? Easy. 7 month ago when my youngest daughter was born. When was the last time I was this let down? hard to say

To me this is the movie equivalent of "and then he woke up and was relieved to find it was all a dream", one of the weakest endings in all of literature.
(let down is too harsh sounding and so is dissapointed, trust me, I'm not losing sleep over this or anything)

Hmmm....somone on IMDB said that there was something after the credits.
For the people who've seen it...is this true?

Okay, if LC has really seen the film, then they may be able to tell us what the hell part of the monster are we seeing when it slips behind the buildings in trailer 2.
