As for the opening of the film, does it show the title and opening credits, or does it just cut open with the camera turning on?

Hmmm....somone on IMDB said that there was something after the credits.
For the people who've seen it...is this true?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
yes....kind of

Care to be a little more specific? Wink

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
WELL, right before the credits end, there is a very static radio transmission sound with a voice trying to come thru...It kind of sounds like Rob but its VERY hard to tell who or what is being said. To me it doesnt try to allude that Rob is still alive, but it may be like a static replay of his last moments or something. 7 people, including myself, could not clearly hear what was being said at the end...so i guess it could mean anything

Cool...thanks. Very Happy

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

It starts of with the title screen showing that the film was recovered from central park case designate "cloverfield" bla bla bla. Then it opens up showing the view of central park from Beth's apartment thru Rob's camera. The date on the camera is april 27 at 6:42 AM.

Honey...I don't know if you saw my comment about the giant monsters nose....but is it FLAT on its face, or does it come out kind of like a snout? If it does come out, how far etc.

Thanks.

about the title. i thought JJ said that they DIDN'T want to name it cloverfield at first? i thought he said that the original intended name for it was what they were wanting, but since everyone and their mother was calling it cloverfield, that they stuck with it to eliminate confusion or something. then he also said that the original name they had would have made 100000% sense in one particular scene in the movie. it was in one of the interviews with him or something.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
No trailer was shown on the b4 the screening. the movie just started...there wasn't a time stamp on the entire film. The only time there was a time stamp was when the tape cut back and forth between apr 27 and may(?)26. i honestly don't recall the exact date that the movie took place on, I'm confident it was in May, but i don't remember the specific date. The time stamp would only stay on the screen for a few moments.

I don't know the original name for the movie unfortunately. I know one of them was called "cheese" which would kind of fit for a certain scene but doesn't have much to do with the movie itself. If you can find the title, maybe I can explain it to you...

Greyshot was the intended title.

whoa. I'm gone for a day and all this has happened.
So, this is in fact legit. wow. I apologize for my skepticism.
All I really want to know is if you see the inside of the mouth like
it said in the production notes.
So do you?
Because if not the production crew were pulling our legs.
-_-

dang. you guys operate so fast.

Greyshot was the intended title.

Greyshot is the name of a bridge in Central Park. It's not too far from Columbus circle.

MAJOR PLOT SPOILER!!!!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's where Rob and Beth hide at the end of the movie.

At least I was right in one thing in my drawing of the monster

[insert forum link here--- if anyone can find it for me]

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I described it as something that walks like a gorilla and has smaller apendages between it's big arms and it's legs.

I still wish it had the tentacles on its face though.
