For those who have seen it...(NO SPOILERS)
Would you pay to see a sequel?

Huh? Would you?

honestly, with the amount of time I've placed in it, I would see a sequel- and I haven't even seen the movie yet.

That's very difficult to say before we have even seen the first one.

I see your point, but I know that if I don't like this one and another comes out, I probably won't be interested.

I've seen the movie, and I can and can't see a sequel happening. I mean, they could do it and it would make sense, but I don't know if it would be any good.

If it was in another city, and/or if it was more than one of the monsters and we get the point of view from someone we would not normally see or care for but it is written in a way as to MAKE us care, say a 9-1-1- phone operator who just happens to have family in the initial attack zone, and he/she juggles the profession, the whole world-gone-to-hell situation and personal issues as he/she juggles personal cell phone calls from the operators loved ones at the site.

Say for instance the operator puts the work colleagues/rescue members in certain death as a decoy for the parasites so that their trapped family members can get out alive, and the internal office finding out about it. Stuff like that.

And more than one giant monster, and more connections and answers to the significance of Slusho to the MGP.

If there's a sequel, I hope it's in the style of a documentary. Interviews intermixed with various clips of officers on an investigation and digging through Tagruato's and TIDO Wave's dirt, footage of the soldiers attacking the monster, random clips (like a security vid at the SoL island showing the monster getting out of the water and rip the head off), that sorta thing. Could work if done right.

Keep in mind that sequels normally suck. The only sequel I've seen that I thought was better than the original was Blade 2. And probably because the female vampire was really hot.

If there is a Cloverfield sequel, I might see it. But I highly doubt there will be one, because what would be different? The Monster attacks Toronto or San Fransisco?

Unless of course, the sequel is about the monster finding love.
