Wow this picture is really poorly done. From the smoke cloning to the different light sources etc. I really hope that the CGI in the movie is not reflected here. This looks like somethng out of South Park (cut and paste). I am almost hoping for this to be a gamejack at this point.

Anyone here think we should try to match up the background to something else? I think we're going to get nothing off of the blurs, but maybe we can match other ships or something along those lines.

The poor quality indicates this is probably a screen shot from a VIDEO. This is the reverse of the Chaui footage. That footage was verified by 1-18-08. I think this video is telling us to look for this footage.

More fail on the big bold type.
For the record, it would appear that they are blurring out evidence of the monster (but they missed some slash marks up on the side). That's my guess.

It looks like this happened in a harbor .. we see helicopters in the background and more ships as well , tugboats dont usually go out to sea..
Is there another port he could have stopped at first, or is this NY? If hes in NY already, hes 5 days early!
And, it looks like a tanker to me..

Let's try this. You shrink your font, and we all get along. Besides,newcomer/lurker, your response made no logical sense anyways.
Do you think the black helicopters are really coastguard? I think that's kind of out of place.

Anywho, back on subject......
So, we know the the military is aware of MPG and they are aware of his path, so in my eyes that means that there is alot of questioning on how he does so much damage in NY? I realize that they keep things from the general public for the fear of hysteria but for christ sake, If a huge unknown monster was heading this way shouldn't we have been more prepared?
Brings alot more question to the table....

Well that assumes that the military knows what they are dealing with. I would not think that theassumption of the miltary is that this was caused by a monster. I suspect that the gov't would think that this was another eco terrorism attack (since this falls on the heels of the Chuai sinking by alleged terrorists) and are treating it like they would an other terrorism attack on NYC, with full use of all forces.

Military at this point are aware that "something hit a ship". I mean, it's not like they see the ship and instantly think "aw, heck, not another 300' tall monster... Time to call the Air Force."
God, I hate to make this parallel... remember the beginning of the Broderick Godzilla ? The ship that looks like it was attacked with a giant can opener near the beginning? Nobody had any idea what it was then (well, except for the crazy, "Godziwaaaa!!"-screaming Japanese guys, of course...).

If, perhaps, this is a movie, what should we be looking for?
"Battleship explodes/attacks/sinks in harbor"? Something along those lines?

If only we could instantly figure this all out, and not need to start threads to brainstorm and combine theories.
Sorry, It's been eons since I was sarcastic last.
