 		Seems to me there are four distinct areas that have been fuzzed over in the pic ... Looks like something (MGP?) above the waters surface when I zoom in on the large square.

Is it possible this pic is from the NYC harbour and that is the SOL in the background? Or is there consensus that this pic is taken between the Chaui incident and NYC?

 		Yeah, it's clearly a ship. as clear as the tentacles in the Chuai vids.

I don't think it looks like a ship. It is way bigger than the one to the left, plus, since it is fuzzed out even though it is too dark to see, it makes me think it could be an easily recognizable landmark ...

Here, I made an animation, the 2nd frame is the boat on the left scaled up a little bit on top of the other "object" on the right.

Uhh, I visit the Lower East Side of Manhattan a lot, and I can tell that the object there is NOt the SOL. Mass, Height, Width is all wrong. There's also a base for the SOL, which is not visible here. besides, if they were to view the SOL from that angle, you'd have to see Brooklyn and Ellis Island.

 		Could be, but why would they blur out what is just another ship? You couldn't make out any hull markings or nationality from that distance. Doesn't make sense. But then again, half of this doesn't!

They blurred out the monster's hand/claws/arm. You see the claw marks don't you? I don' tknow what's underneath the ship that must be blurred out but my assumption based off the blurred out arm/claw/hand of the the monster is that it's just more monster.
