That's what I've been saying for MONTHS and it's fallen on deaf ears. Here we have a kick-ass monster movie with tons of explosions and cool stuff, and everyone is worried about Tagruato, DSI, SBN, and the dates on some viral marketing that everyone misunderstood as being an ARG.

If the trailer doesn't get you hyped up, I don't know what to tell ya.

Here is the snippet from the hyperlink StarshipTrooper pointed to...

IESB: The date had played such a huge role in the advertising. Is it true that if you to see this on the day it comes out, 1-18-08, the date in the film is actually that date as well?

Reeves: No, that's not true. The date has become because, again, we didn't have the title in the teaser and so that was a way of letting people know what it was. I think the two ways people referred to the movie where by its codename, Cloverfield, because there was knowledge of that, and just by the date. The reveal is really what happens in the story and the way it unfolds and the sort of mysteries in that world. The date is just the date we come out and when everyone gets to see the movie.

So...They have a lot of 'splanin to do!

Hey all.
Was looking at the pic with the damaged ships, and, as I usually do, completely zoned out and let my mind wander. Then it sort of hit me. What if the pic isn't blurred because of objects in the foreground, or background?
What if they blurred the pic because of what can be seen BEHIND the camera. Shot was set up out of something in flight, it seems. High enough perspective to be safe, but low enough to make me think helo. The bar at the bottom of frame being the door/window frame. And if you try and take a picture through a window, often times you'll get reflective ghosting in the foreground from the window surface. What if they are trying to blur out the face of the photographer, and someone else aboard the helicopter. The placement of the blurring seems so random, yet it forces your eye to follow up to the scarring on the hull, but what other purpose would it serve to blur something as distant as the ship, far right background. At that distance, couldn't make out a military ships designate if you wanted to.

 		I read the interview.

But put that aside. TAG's site stated that Chuai(again sorry if misspelled) would open in September of 2007. Then we get the video which show is sinking/destroyed sometime around late December(sorry if timing is wrong). We can pretty much figure out that it was the monster that did that. Now the only way Starships' theory can work is if the station is opened after the attack on NYC. I read a few sentences of a review of a screening(if it was true) that TAG and Slusho! arent mentioned once. So maybe(this is my theory if in fact MGP attacks in May) MGP does his thing in NYC. Goes into isolation in the Atlantic ocean. TAG "sees" something there because of their satellite or sonar and decide to build a station over it. TIDOwave becomes aware of this and does their thing of investigating it all. Then the News reports come out and eventually TAG is found to have known of MGP where-abouts. Thats where Starships' Theory comes in. TAG is brought to court yada yada yada. Maybe our ARG happens after the movie.

 		So here's a question, my fellow Cloverfiends. What significance do the photo's hold, as a unified pattern? All except for Rob, Jamie, and Hud are taken from a perspective and attitude that seems to scream something. Can't for the life of me think what, though. Like every photo-taker is somehow a key. Who took the pic of the chef? We think MacDooble, who took the demon-hair, possibly Hud, as it's a still from on the set shots. The zodiac? A rescuer? TIDO member?

All of these anonymous perspectives, with no real idea of who was holding the camera/phone/camcorder. Has to mean something.

I'll take a Patron, Helo. neat please. Gonna hit a drunken meditation state and think a hole through the world. Laughing

Before you think too hard, The demon-hair probably wasn't Hud, as he was probably looking at what they were looking at...They are obviously looking at something pretty freaky....The pic of the chef probably WASN'T MacDooble....He didn't eat the recipe on the back or in the picture on the front. With no available source of DSN, I don't see this recipe on the back helping him much. With SO much available speculation I doubt each photo taker could be a key, though you have sparked my interest Razz. Perhaps it's who the photos are coming from? Not many people could have access to ALL of those pictures. The military wouldn't put pictures of the innocent party on the site if it was them. Maybe Teddy? He *COULD* be at the party, and he has inside sources since he *COULD* be Le Bandet Vert(sp?). But what would Teddy sending pictures that happen in the future have to do with anything? Nothing? So it could be somebody else...Just some random spec I did off the top of my head while typing this hehe...Off to lay down and think a lot more..No way I'll sleep now heh.

ok sounds reasonable but the only problem i see with this is that the Chaui station accident occurred a little over a week ago if thats so theres no way these events have already happened check out the TIDOwave website they make reference to the station on jan 11

 		Hi, I'm new...

I want to bring back your theory to life...

What if the MySpace, Tido, Tag, Teddy, etc. videos are A PART OF THE CASE. Meaning just like the 1-18-08.com site is a preview of the case... so is the MySpace and Tido; and it's all the valuable evidence that they need.

I also have a theory of my own... what if the footage we are seeing is the footage that is being use in a case (in court), and we are the jury, and we are going to look through all this evidence and find out.

This would be KILLER for an ARG: The audience or players trying to figure out the case, and whose fault it is.

Well what do you guys think...?

I think the viral marketing shouldn't be taken seriously as it is all crap anyway.

Read what I said man, all of it is part of the Court Case, and you are given information BIT by BIT by BIT, not in any specific order.
