Great job Haji! That is the coolest name by the way.

I will post the codes on the other forum so Michael knows.

It could be referring to the Prodigal Son. I also think because the codes were below the scene from the horror movie, maybe that is the "art." The guy with the white mask was stabbing Eric, probably with the same knife the CM has on the table in the affair vid. Either Sue or Russ was already killed with the knife, or he plans on gutting Eric, that might be the foreshadowing. Just a guess.

Personaly I think Chekhov's Gun =
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Erics cat
but who knows.

If Jab is right, in that the code placed in the movie part, is art imitating life. Then maybe the CM placing the Chekhov's Gun code close to the knife in the vid defines it as the clue.

In thinking about it, it appears that the CM still has the murder weapon around his house. I wonder if the knife was similar to any that Eric had in his appartment. (maybe we need to ask Michael if a whole set was there?)Or if later on we will find out that it was one from Sue's set......

Thank you, Nicole. And, I hope it's okay I called you, Nic. Very Happy

I have no idea what to say regarding the whole prodigal son thing or about Chekov's gun. Chekov's gun could be as simple as a way to suggest we use the result again as a key, but I doubt that with the CM's penchant for nuance and suggestion. He seems to like to layer things when he can manage it. And the prodigal son is something I'm not sure I have a firm enough grip on to make a judgment. I get the story, kind of, but I wasn't brought up with religion, per se, so I'm sure there's something I'm missing.

I think I'm back to the waiting game, and hoping maybe something jumps out at me. I may go back and read up some more on the previous threads, trying to play connect the context in the hopes this is all engineered to make sense in the end. I'll be reading and posting what strikes me.

I know, I'm double posting, but I got a reply from the CM, and have sent him a reply in return. Most of you will probably think I'm off the deep end, but I decided to take the role of negotiator a bit, maybe, and, well, here's the emails...

Ah, excellent. I was hoping that would be your reply.

Now, of course, the saying indicates that, "First art imitates life, and then life imitates art," but I tend to wonder. As probably the starkest and most disgusting counter example, I would draw your attention to the propaganda technique employed in World War I, known as the corpse factories. Through some sloppy translating and transposition of pictures, the Allies made the German war machine appear more disgusting than it actually was by indicating that they rendered their dead soldiers for materials. This had the effect of hardening the view of the people against them, provoking the Chinese to assist the allies, and winning World War I, but it also set the stage for the World War II and the tactics used there in.

What does this have to do with anything? Well, the art (propaganda) of World War I, is often argued to have set the stage for the life and harsh realities of World War II. So I would ask you what realities have set the stage for your current art project, and do you plan to make the mistakes of so many others before you, and in effect condone their actions?

I look forward to your reply,
-Haji (two-eyes)

I placed everything in chrono order. Let me know what you think... I figured that if this were real, we really out to be reasoning with this guy more. I'm anxious to see how he responds, and what you all think.

Talk to you later, I'm off to a job interview.

Good solve ya'll. I'm glad to see that Nicole has some healthy code solving competition in Haji. I am positively terrible at solving codes, all I do is pretty much mine Michael for information since I'm on the outs with the CM and TDC won't return my emails. I was a full on supporter of TDC but now I think he's a big doodie head. Speaking of which I think it's time for another chat with Mikey.

I kinda feel like I stole that one from Nicole. But, I am hoping to get the next one fair and square. Wink

Whenever he decides to release another vid or something.

I just had a very long chat with Tom. I was mostly venting about how I frustrated I am because the game doesn't make sense.

But now I have a theory of how this will all turn out:

The CM is going along and finding people who are sinners (his resume) holding them captive, brain-washing them until they become loyal followers who carry out his tasks to eventually create a cult of non-sinners/mindless robots. So now Eric is the next one he is going to add to the cult or whatever.

I dont know... this seems stupid but he promises it will all fit together. Which also seems weird because TDC isnt supposed to be behind the whole thing anyway.... I dont know it seemed kinda like the "pm" talking to me.

TDC promises to release a new video soon. (you can interpet 'soon' however you like).

Quote:
me: is there anything we are supposed to be doing, other than waiting of course
10:11 PM tom: I'd start by taking another look at that letter.
Maybe someone else can offer a fresh perspective on things.

This file is part of the reason why I have the cult theory... he said he will eat his hat if everything doesn't tie together and make sense. So this is one of the few ways to make things tie togehter (of course there are still many other things that dont fit with my theory). Eh, I am so annoyed with this game.

[I edited this to fix the numbers of the speakers]

Well, I would imagine that since you have talked to the PM so much whether it be as CM/TDC/Michael that he probably feels more comfortable talking to you. He probably also realizes that you are almost the backbone of his fan base so he knows that he can talk to you on a more candid level because if he loses you he loses a lot of us Smile Purely speculation. Purely.

EDIT: I just checked my gmail and it seems Senor TDC sent me a message as well.

The Deadfish says:
I had an interesting chat with the CM. I told him that I essentially told him that his card house would soon collapse. Something about you breaking his pretty, pretty princess face. He wrote:

You've made your position clear. Now let me make mine. I have many enemies. One more is not a problem. What you failed to realize is that having me as an enemy usually doesn't work out well. I'm sure TDC can tell you that for himself.

Cheers,
Sam

Exactly as he says I have made my position clear. I am backing you 100%. Please don't let me down.

Jeff

Do you have any info on Kimberly Miller? I don't trust her.

The TDC says:
Quote:
I won't let you down, as long as you don't let me down. Kimberly Miller has her own agenda, as does everyone else in this. You've made the correct decision in not supporting Sam. I'll explain more in my next video, which is coming soon.

Be safe.

Tom

I wrote him back when Kim first released her video. I wish he was less sporadic and more timely with his messaging but apparently he is a busy busy man.

EDIT 2: I just wrote Michael a long email like I do every two weeks or so. I was rereading some of our conversations and this stuck out for some reason. Not as a clue or anything but just as an odd thing for him to do.

The Michael says:
Quote:
As for Tom D. Cesear, I'm honestly not sure. He knows certain things about me, and maybe a lot more about Sam Deercot, but I don't understand his motivations. If he knows more, why not just come out and tell me? Why play these stupid games? I haven't dismissed him, and we're certainly taking what he says about Eric seriously, but I get a feeling that he's either some kid messing around, or somebody that doesn't really want to help us. Maybe he's really Sam Deercot? I dunno.

How old do we think Michael is? It seems extremely out of character in my opinion for him to say, "I dunno." It is just something I thought odd and seemed like a weird colloquialism for him to use. (I don't use the word colloquialism often, so I hope it has been used in context. I guess I have this childlike impression that if I use big words with youse guys and gals that what I say will be taken more seriously. However, I'm not going to sit here and dichotomise my posts) (I spelled dichotomise with an "s" on purpose. While not generally accepted as the correct spelling in the States it is accepted in Britland. Since it is widely accepted in Britland it makes it that much more proper and proves that I am that much more distinguished, therefore and henceforth adding to the validity and importance to what I have to say. Neil can back me up on that. I hear he is a Britlander.) (I made up the word Britland for the all encompassing sake of posterity. The world will thank me one day. Now if Dutchland will just catch on) (Seriously I'm done)

I wholeheartedly concur with your fine and truthful prose about the British. Alas, I hold a deficiency of time with which to assemble a sharp riposte.

Okay, first, I have to apologize, I thought I had already posted this response I got from CM...
Quote:
There is more to the quote. In this case, the deeds have already been done. How I present them to you, and what happens to Eric, is a matter of artistic interpretation.

Sam

And, of course, the full quote, I think is:
Quote:
At first, art imitates life. Then life will imitate art. Then life will find its very existence from the arts.
~Fyodor Dostoevsky

Okay, that said. What do we think the chance is on a video this weekend? Should we start taking bets on which weekend out of the next four or so it will be? Oh man, the suspense...

EDIT: Also, Nicole, the theory fits, as best I can tell, available information, and seems plausible. This full quote even seems to work with it.

I can't for the life of me figure out where this is headed, but that's just me.

(ps my program worked to decode it, whoo hoo )

Well friggin' hell yeah Nicole on writing a new program we can use!!

I've been sooo MIA. As I mentioned a while ago...the honeymoon is over...& I finally found a new place to live this week. Yay! So, I'm on the move to brighter days, & school starts next week. Ugh.

But...to the topics:
As I also think (& Nicole / Jabroni pointed out), it is not a "done deal" that CM is Sue Hart's husband. And to the point we've brought up before, he could've been hired by Michael. Also, it is possible Michael may not have known his son was going to be the target found by the mercenary CM. But, we've known since TDC that Michael's a liar & has more info than he is telling us. So, we're not learning anything new there. I hope he does start fessing up, because that is getting OLD. I'm tired of trying to get him to talk for months & getting half-assed answers from him.

As this progresses, & we look at it, this has had some cult-like aspects from the beginning. There are those of us that glommed onto CM right away. And there are those of us that were very bothered & never wanted to even speak to him (& some never did...unless to gain trust for more information), & tried to gain trust with TDC or Michael, or both. NOT ME! I LOVE THE CM!! And he didn't even have to toss me in a room, stick a wig on me, & feed me Friskies & bog water.

Perhaps TDC is an ex "member". Maybe he does re-programming? Or not. The "kids" that are being babysat of course (& this has already been speculated) could be the members. (The "fishing" conversation above is misnumbered, FYI...it is, too, from where it was originally posted, if it ends up mattering. I never bothered to mention it, but if we're coming back to it...). There was a painting back in TDC pages-hunt puzzle that coded out saying something like "They will come from the East, West, etc...& blood will run...", so we thought back then that there were others. I think it was the one with the multitude of hooded figures? "Fishers of men" etc from the Bible for recruiting followers (I think we said this, too). There has been a thread of art through this whole thing, too, & now with this new quote...

In "real life" it shouldn't take this long or this much effort to brainwash one person though...heh heh... Maybe brainwashing & membership isn't the point for dear lil' hairy Eric? Or, it is, & the time & effort is just for the game.

What happens to Eric is a matter of artistic interpretation?! His or the viewers?

The boards are slow today, I just lost my post I made. Must be because of Cloverfield coming out tomorrow.

Sorry I can't tell, but Guest who are you? Thanks for realizing the speakers were numbered wrong. I have that fixed now. And the conversation makes more sense now, heh.

That's a good point you brought up about TDC. I never thought about it before, but TDC could be a member of the cult who got out and now wants to take the CM down. This would explain his message on his blog "There are others" and how he knows so much about the CM and what's going on behind the scenes.

I kind of thought the cult idea was far-fetched but it seems to fit with more things than any of the other ideas I can think of. It also goes with some of the things TDC told me:

Quote:

9:41 PM me: is it a cult?
did i already ask that
9:42 PM tom: You expect me to tell you everything? [ he avoids the question, but usually he will tell me no if I am wrong]

------------

me: ugh is this so retarded.... why would there be a crew of people holding him kidnapped for sleeping with someone
10:04 PM tom: That's a good question. There are many things you don't understand, obviously, and you're hoving around the answer like a moth around a flame [Could be referring to the cult idea I mentioned a little before]

10:05 PM me: whatever it ends up being I guarantee you it wont make sense
tom: Oh yes it will.
I can guarantee that.
Or I'll eat my hat.
me: even if he gutted her like a fish this would not happen
10:06 PM tom: You just don't understand the situation yet, and you're making assumptions without having all the pieces.
10:07 PM Think about it this way - if I gave you two puzzle pieces from opposite ends of the puzzle, you may very well think they have nothing to do with each other...

ok this might be really out there but i finally have a theory on this game so i decided i would jump out on a limb (and probably fall). here it is:

what if eric wasn't the cm's main target? think about it. when would be the best time to start trying to brainwash someone? during childhood. what if russ was the target (wasn't that the kids name)? i mean he was in danger wasn't he? so what if they were working on russ and eric got in the way? or eric might be like TDC and was trying to take the cult down. its a stretch but it could happen. besides, it would make the whole babysitting and "the kids are asleep" make more sense. idk im probably way off on this but it struck me as odd.
