Yeah I think Jamie and teddy is more focused on Cloverfield 2.

So will Cloverfield 2 NOT be in the first person camera perspective that Cloverfield is in? Will it be more of a prequel with Teddy videotaping the creation of the monster from Chuai?

I think JJ Abrams might be trying to create his own "Abrams" brand by throwing little things in the background. For us old fogies, the Zucker/Abrams/Zucker production team (the Abrams in the trio has no relation to JJ Abrams), who were responsible for the classic Airplane! and Naked Gun movies always had little background things going on that were often funnier than what was happening in the foreground.
The difference is that the Zucker/Abrams/Zucker trio didn't have a nerd/geek following.
Now while what I say might be deemed as one of my usual nerd attacks, it isn't, so hear me out: Nerds/geeks tend to over analyze stuff to he point of inanity. The nerds/geeks on this board successfully turned the Cloverfield marketing campaign into an ARG even though one doesn't exist. JJ Abrams, being that he is a pretty smart guy, probably sees that and knows that he can take little things and make them profitable.
Completely agree. Reminds me of tarantino from the 90's. nice.

jenny beat me to it, but Tarantino always uses his oewn internal brands to keep them in their own mythos. Red Apple cigarettes have been in just about every Tarantino movie and some movies that he is just associated with. But these brands do not become their own movies, they are just threads that hold the work together in the same made up universe.

Kinda like the View Askewniverse?
Lame, I know, but I just watched Mallrats and I'm about to watch Dogma (starz comedy, baby).

I'm surprised no one is saying the obvious. The JamieandTeddy videos are doing two things for us:
(1) We hear about a Cause member through something other than its own website.
(2) We will see the effects of the Sea Bed Nectar on a human being (something we have all wondered about). After all, Jamie ate some, did she not?

Right, but if SBN has nothing to do with the movie, why even mention it in the ARG? Makes me think the ARG isn't close to over.

Exactly, that's my point. Some people were making the J&T videos sound pointless. I'm saying that I think the story will continue through them, among other things.
I just don't understand if the ARG will continue for just a while, or be the thread that ties "Cloverfield" and it's possible sequel together. If so, what the heck? This will be the longest Viral campaign ever.

Re: [SPEC][THEORY] Jamieandteddy.com really for another movi JJ Abrams Movie ARG?

I recently re-watched season 3 of Lost and I had the same idea. If that's true, or if Tag is otherwise involved in some way w/Lost, then there could be a Cloverfield ARG that also doubles as (or becomes) a kind of sequel to the Lost Experience. In other words, an ARG that involves both Cloverfield and Lost - that could be interesting, eh?

Oh god please no.
Anyway, the Lost Experience unfortunately already has its own sequel currently ongoing. It's called "Find 815."
