[SPEC]

Many are debating over whether this pic is pre or post NYC attack. I think it's pre-devistation. They're trying to stop the monster before it arrives.

My [spec] on this is that They give it everything they've got and are split 50/50 on whether they killed it or not. Nothing could survive an attack like that, but they don't want to go into a full public alert. So they keep it under wraps, but station the military at NYC just in case.

I think the pic is after. No way no one would notice an operation like this off the U.S. coast at night. It would be all over the news, even if nobody knew what was going on.

It's just another pic in the file concerning the attack.

I totally disagree. There's no way that site would post a "post-picture" before the movie even comes out for the general public.

This is a FAKE done by me of course...

I'd guess they can't use copyrighted content like you may have done (Paramount is a major studio of course). If so, it's a lot harder comp that together.

Either way, nice work on that pic!

Actually, most of what I found is public domain. The government has all sorts of images that are royalty free if you know where to look. Besides, even "rights managed" material is not THAT expensive in relation to a hollywood movie. They could have spent a couple thousand dollars on some promo material.

We are not bitching about the quality, we are just having fun on the forums, because most of us have nothing else to do :) Basically, that's the whole point of this forum I guess.

I don't think the photos are 'case designate' stuff... wouldn't that have been mentioned somewhere? I mean, this was the first site we saw before anything else. Notice how they collected pictures over time? If all this stuff was a part of the Case Designate, the why weren't the pictures there to begin with? No, the pictures are pouring in as time progresses [that's the biggest hint right there]. So, to me- it's all pre-desolation. Why would they nuke a monster, then do lesser stuff after that? All that stuff you see in the picture doesn't amount up to an actual Nuke. After a Nuke- they would take a biological offense to it... Not just more explosions.

No Friend boyonfire,

Check it.
The whole viral is to help guide us to other destinations...The pictures, on some circumstances have led us on the viral but mostly....they are a history, or "file representation" of what we already know...YES? The Trailers and commercials...are a representation of what we already know...
What do you think?

I'm rather disturbed by the low production quality of that photo. It makes me wonder if:
They are in a hurry and don't care about realism/quality anymore
...or...
They have turned it over to hollywood types wno have no clue in the first place

I think it's a bit of a contrast from the quality that went into sites like slusho.jp and tagruato.jp. The news trailers were at a lesser standard but not too bad, but this? it looks like they handed the assignment to the graphics arts intern and told him to whip something, Anything up quick. Sad

I hope they got the movie finished before they got that desparate.

except when the teaser first hit, and the 01-18-08 site came out, and the pictures started rolling in- we didn't know the military would be involved until those pictures came out. We didn't know anything about the chef or the 'Bottom Rock Crab' or the Seabed's Nectar... The pictures are both showing us what we already know and they're leading us through this. They're pacing us.

I'm gonna assume that they were in a hurry. Remember, they never meant to take the movie this far. It really wasn't on docket when the teaser came out... but the fans were practically begging for it by asking all these questions.

Of course they weren't putting pics that show anything on the site early. The cats pretty much out of the bag now, they can put up just about anything they want now, except for a pic of the critter, and I bet that's coming!

There is no way that last pic, or the one before it is pre-attack. You tell me that if what amounts to a major naval engagement was going on off the coast of the U.S. that somebody wouldn't be all over it. It's at night, too. How many private boats, cargo, fishing, ect, would be in visual range of that? Everybody in New York wouldn't be just hanging out and having a party if that was going on out in the ocean. Not these days, when everyone is expecting a terrorist attack, or another war any day now.
