This review is pretty much the same as this one:

http://twitchfilm.net/site/view/and-the-verdict-on-cloverfield-is/

I believe nofx saw it. So far there's a loooot of "negative" things being said about this movie.

Think about his logically for one second. Why do all the "fan" pics of the monster look different? Because you get a simple glimpse of it, and it is up to you to interpret it. Thats why.

I have not seen this movie, plan on seeing it when it is released to DVD (and probably after the prices come down on the DVD), I'm too tight to pay the movie prices. So I'll have a nice long wait. You Brits will see it well before me.

People you have to keep some things in mind:

The camera is being shot by people who are trying to STAY AWAY from the monster. There will be no good shots of the monster! I do like how he incorporated the helo rescue to get an overview of the monster, then the crash to get the camera back down.

All the stuff we have read on line is like reading the book version then seeing the movie. It will NOT meet your expectations.

The movie was NOT a high budget movie IMHO I think because they didn't know how well it would go over, thus the Jan release date.

The VMC/ARG/ARE I think was an afterthought. Which would explain some of the stuff we have seen / not seen.

The movie is NOT meant to wrap the VMC/ARG/ARE up in a nice bow. It was meant to drive up interest in the movie period!

I HOPE but not holding my breath that this ARG/ARE continues.

Don't think any of the above is a spoiler if I said something that is a spoiler please let me know and I will adjust it.

So the guy in the review I posted a link to says it looks like Pumpkinhead and Predator produced a drunken love child. Doesn't sound a lot like the fan-pics by the others who said they saw it, and said the monster is shown plenty.

I was speaking off the "fan" pics. I did not read the review you posted.

Yes, i'm talking about the fan pics too. Some other people "saw" it and said they saw the monster a lot, and then started guiding everyone through those drawings. Now you, and the other reviewer say you don't really see it at all, and what you do see of it looks like Pumpkinhead-predator.

I doubt this whole thing is over. Someone said somewhere else that from what it seems and how many different sub-plots and what-not are still going on, there is more than enough to make another movie out of it all. Hell, we have yet to hear from Jamie again. Is she even in the movie? If not, could we be seeing a webcam of her from inside of her wrecked apartment, crying for help? (That would be icing on the cake for me.) I think we will see more. Okay...I HOPE we will see more.

And the only question I would have for anyone who saw the movie is: Is it believeable? Did the story pull itself along enough to warrant running back into a war zone just for a friend? Is it believable that HUD would rather have filmed his friends rather than the monster? Is it believable that he would rather stay and film than just crap his pants and run? Really. That's all that I would want to know.

Based on that quote alone, you're a moron. Seriously, you're lucky I wasn't in that theater. Some dude booing?!? You're a dick.

Man, I don't know what the hell it was. It was gray, and shown very quickly. When they showed it close up, it could have been a huge rhino for all I know. The movements were very quick and very cheap CGI.

Really what would have done. Are you the "boo" police? 400 other people didn't have problem. Most laughed, because they were with me.

Not believable at all. One second they are in the sub tunnel, next "oh my god, we open a door and are in a military epicenter!! Beth Macyentire is impaled in her left arm/upper shoulder, then she just swings it like there is no problem. Right!
