 		Eh...my expectations for this movie have been steadily dropping since the early reviews came in.
This is just more shit on an already huge and growing pile.

-I don't like what I've seen of the monster design.
-I don't like the fact that the movie is barely an hour long.
-I don't like that half the movie is bunch of Rob/Beth 'flashback' scenes.
-I don't that you barely see the creature.

The good news...at this point it would be hard for this movie to disappoint me. Confused

Damn, my man nailed this "Monster" movie right there. Thats this garbage in a nutshell. Great, Rob fucked beth, and they went to Coney Island. Thats the big ending. Fuck that. I want a fire breathing, bad ass, muther. Instead we get some thinly veiled "creature". Why Rob's bitch ass looks for her, why he barely cares his brother was killed on the bridge. Oh and the scene when his mom calls.......fucking garbage.

Hey, I can stick a camera up to my eye ball and left nostril and that would be "picture" but you would have no definitive answer of what I look like. Man, just think logically. Why are all the "fan" pics of the monster different. You never really know what it looks like. Just give in. It's true.

 		I've been prowling around tonight, because i expected reviews to start hitting about 9-10 o'clock.

On several different sites, people are posting reviews, and it's all about the same as nofx's here.

They say you barely see the monster, only one QUICK shot of the whole thing, the rest is flashes, and pieces of it's body.

It's been described as:

The Rancor/bat/monkey thing from the thread on this site.

A cross between Pumpkinhead and Predator

A "stocky" Alien with gills

Like a dinosaur

Like a big lizard monkey


No one gives a good clear discription of the thing, and they all say the most disappointing thing about the movie is

Rob/Beth backstory

No explanation at all of where the thing comes from

No good looks at the monster

And, no reason why the movie is called "Cloverfield".


Nobody can give a clear discription, because MAYBE we don't ever get to see it. Maybe everyone should wait till they see the movie befor jumping this guy's ass. He might be telling the truth, and after 6 months following this thing, and that's what the movie is, I'd be pissed too.
